Another week almost gone, no news, no touches :(

129 Days since sending papers on may 18

112 days since getting NOA1 on June 6th from CSC

Anyone else around or after this time getting anything yet ??

Hello May,

I have the same dates as you. They received my papers on May 18 and I received my NOA-1 June 7. No touches since I sent in K-3 in middle of August. They touched both on 8/22 and 8/23 and nothing since then. They seem to have slowed down yet again on approvals.

Deb

Done ....the time line is updated , what a frustrating process all i can say, a simple common sense queston, why cant NVC take all the papers in one time, once I 130 is approved, we should send only one packet containing everything they need from fee to choice of agent to support document or whatever and then to make it worse the whole appt process at the consulate...For US citizens atleast it should be a walk in at foreign consulate.

oh well , i am not the USCIS head so really cant make changes :)

I wish USCIS was more transparent in their processing and explaining why some applications are just waiting while others filed on a later date are getting touched or approved, the whole black box things adds to more frustration.

Got my NOA2 today, approved as of Sept 21, i only filed for I 130......whew....after someone is working at USCIS :), the best part, the web site still doesnt show any touches or Approval, i guess they are slow to update the site, so if anyone is waiting , dont be surprised to find the approval in mail.

G&A and Urge..

I have followed your advice and contacted the NVC in order to send back the I-130 to Vermont for the AOS when the time arrives. They claim that their preferred method of communication is email. I plan to print it out and send it via snail mail as well (including that I already sent this as an email). I will try to call them when I get home from work but based on what I read in other threads, it's not likely that I'll get through. In case anyone else is interested in how I went about this I'll copy the letter here. I'll let you know what kind of results I get.

Email sent to: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

Subject line: case number LGSXXXXXXXXXX

Body:

Beneficiary/Visa Applicant: Lanre XXXXXXX DOB: XXXXXX

Petitioner: Kathryn XXXXXXX DOB: XXXXXXXX

Case Number: LGSXXXXXXXXXX

RE: Address Correction & Pursuance of K3 Visa

Dear Sir/Ma'am;

In the packet I received from the NVC, my husband's address is listed incorrectly. It has his country listed as NIGER whereas his country is NIGERIA.

My husband and I have decided to pursue the K3 Visa NOT the CR-1 Visa. Therefore, would you please return our I-130 packet to the VERMONT SERVICE CENTER where our I-129F is pending in order for us to apply for the Adjustment of Status when the time arrives.

Thank you for your kind attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Kathryn XXXXXXX

me@me.com

hi kathryn

were you able to send that mail/email to NVC?

my husband called NVC to inform them that we are pursuing the K3 petition

he was basically told to "drag our feet" if we want to do the K3 instead (as Urge suggested, to delay the process and stuff)

anyway, we will see about emailing NVC using your format

if you don't mind, that is

so you know, calling NVC is just as bad, if not even worse than USCIS :sigh:

well what it means to me is that they `are in` Mays `pile because the last NOA2 i saw approved on here was sent may and noa1 was may 18 so that must mean that they are on mays pile. Mine was sent on June 19t and arrived June 25th and my NOA1 was July 2nd. I am just wondering where I am in the process
