Hello All,

This is a great thread. I have one question about K3 visa. I received a 129f transfer notice via mail on July 25th. It stats that my 129f has been transferred to VSC on July 24th but the online uscis account shows case last updated July 9th only. Also the web site status shows notification of receipt notice on July 6th.

Shouldnt the online/case status be updated to transfer notice or something?

Thanks in advance :)

Please update your timeline so we can provide you with accurate info.

thx and welcome to the thread

Supernova,

Thanks so much for your reply. No, I don't live in CSC's region, but my I-130 is pending at that service center, so that is where I will be sending my I-129f. I will make a call to USCIS and see if I can get any straight answers from them, probably not because I like to refer to them as the "helpless center", lol. Wish me good luck. I am about to compile my I-129f and send it out.

Deb

You are more than welcome. I am just trying to help. I think sending your I-129F to CSC is a good idea since your I-130 is there. I suggest you mention that your I-130 is at CSC in your cover letter just to be safe.

edp

Supernova,

Your help is much appreciated and I will mention about my I-130 pending at CSC in my cover letter. Thanks so much again!

Deb

G&A,

First, thank you very much for providing this filtered (for good data points) spreadsheet. Would you mind answering a question regarding your estimates?

My VJ Timeline suggests my I-129F NOA2 is expected on September 13, 2007. This of coarse assumes users have entered their data correctly and interpreted the fields accurately.

What are you basing your estimates from? I like your estimate MUCH better, but after visiting the March filers' thread, I think your estimate of my NOA2 will not be realized.

Just curious and not criticizing at all.

Thanks again,

Robin

Hi Robin, I do not have good data for 129F NOA2 lead time so i did some prem analysis and i am using 120 days for CSC and 140 days for VSC. This is rough at the moment and i will improve it once some of the folks in March and April start getting approvals.

G&A,

How about this data for an idea, since some I-129F NOA2 data is starting to trickle in for March applicants?

Taking NOA2s received since July 1, 2007, I come up with the following.

For CSC:

Days from I-129F NOA1 to NOA2:

Data points: 224, 98, 141, 133, 133, 132, 105, 112 (8 total data points)

Drop the high and low gives a total of 6 data points totalling 756 days.

Average Days from NOA1 to NOA2 for CSC: 126 days.

For VSC:

Days from I-129F NOA1 to NOA2:

Data points: 134, 105, 95, 93, 123, 133, 111, 87, 125, 105 (10 total data points)

Drop the high and low gives a total of 8 data points totalling 890 days.

Average Days from NOA1 to NOA2 for VSC: 111.25 days.

Using my I-129F NOA1 of 4-25-2007 and adding 126 days, I come up with an estimated NOA2 receipt date of August 29, 2007.

FYI to readers, a nice place to add/subtract dates can be found here: http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html

Robin

Good day,

Average days between NOA1 & NOA2 for CSC...Is that from when CSC received it?..transferred to CSC?..pending at CSC date?...or from the beginning when it was sent to Chicago?

Mine: mailed to Chicago-- 105 days ago

transferred to CSC-- 88 days ago

Now pending at CSC-- 64 days ago

Deb

I found these directions on the I-129F form while looking to answer another question:

B. Form I-129F Filing Locations for K-3 Spouse

If you are filing an I-129F petition for your spouse, mail your petition to the Service Center where the underlying I-130 petition is currently pending. Use the address listed on your most recent receipt notice or transfer notice and include a copy of that notice with your Form I-129F.

So you are correct in sending your K3 to CSC.

Good luck.

Timeline
Average days between NOA1 & NOA2 for CSC...Is that from when CSC received it?..transferred to CSC?..pending at CSC date?...or from the beginning when it was sent to Chicago?

Mine: mailed to Chicago-- 105 days ago

transferred to CSC-- 88 days ago

Now pending at CSC-- 64 days ago

My understanding is the NOA1 RECEIPT date is the date USCIS uses to place you in the queue for adjudicating your I-129F application, not the transfer dates.

CSC was pretty negligent on sending some NOA1s. I don't know if that included transfer notices. Since the order of working on these apps doesn't depend on when they are transferred, or when notices are received, the date to use for timing is the NOA1 RECEIPT date sent to Chicago or the service center, if sent directly as some are now doing.

My interpretation of dates, etc. is the following. Except for the delay caused by a slow NOA1 I-130, resulting in a delay in sending your I-129F application, any lag time in transferring or receiving notices of the transfer should have no impact on your timeline. Maybe that will offer comfort to some that feel their transfers were lagging -- it shouldn't matter.

Again these are my observations and interpretations. I could be wrong.

Good day,

Robin

EDP,

Thanks for sharing that. I was looking at the instructions as well and had already seen that earlier today. I am compiling my I-129f to send out on my day off from work. It also says that it is free only if you filed your I-130 July 30 or after, so I will be sending $170 for my payment. That is what I was told to do by USCIS.

Thanks,

Deb

Hello everyone,

Sorry I have not been around for a long time various work etc reasons.

We have now swapped to the CR1 visa (won't bore you with why!) But just to say that we have still not received our NOA1, that is obviously not a big deal now we are no longer persuing the K3. However, I have requested another copy which I have been told to wait another 30-45 days for! Oh well nevermind.

I guess you might want to remove me from the spreadsheet. Best of luck to you all.

Married 16th April 2007 - Seattle :)

17th April completing military paperwork (Honeymoon?)

Emma flew back to UK 18th April 2007 :(

Change of name documents arrived for Emma and children

Fedex Em's paper work for I-130 to E in US - 10/05/07

E completed all his paper work - 13/05/07 (I'm impressed!)

Emma had nightmare that all her details were filled out incorrectly and actually spent 6 hours thinking it was real - 13th May !!!!!!

first hiccup - E "out" with work can't get to post office now until 21st May!!!

24th May 2007 - I-130 posted

29th May 2007 - I-130 received at 7am (somebody starts work early!!)

13th June Cheques cleared - one small step but an exciting one!

15th October NOA2 received - 145 days
