You always have amazing news to share RocksAnne.:dance: Glad to hear good news hear once in a while.

:dancing::dance: Hi All ! :dance::dancing:

I had to wait a few days to get confirmation, but I am finally able to make an official announcement about this! I got some amazing news on my situation!

As some of you might have noticed on some of my other posts, I not only had an application in for an I-130 and an I-129F, but also was pursuing a claim to derivative US Citizenship thru my father. In order to get proof of US Citizenship, I had to file a passport application. However when I went in for my passport interview earlier this year, the consulate was extremely discouraging about my chances of getting it- even though I thought I had a pretty good amount of evidence to prove my case. So I decided to go ahead and risk the money and inconvenience of filing the visa forms at the same time, so I wouldn't have wasted any time if the citizenship case fell through.

Well to my joy, a couple of days ago I got a phone call from the consulate informing me that my US passport application had been approved and that I was indeed, a US Citizen already!!!!

I do have to mention something - although I had been trying to get information on my citizenship case for months from the consulate, they didn't respond at all and it wasn't until after I contacted a congressman to intervene on my behalf, that I got this call. So if any of you are having problems with your visa applications and wondering if you should contact a congressperson for help, I say go for it! Congresspeople Rock!!!!

I am still in shock over this! I have a sort of guilty feeling about announcing this here, as I know everyone else still has to go thru this horrible ordeal of interviews and fees and separations from their loved ones. I guess the good news for you all is that as I withdraw my applications, it leaves two interview spots for you guys to fill up faster!

I would like to thank everyone here for their wonderful support, help, tips and advice. For listening sympathetically when I wanted to rant, and for your patience when I asked the same question for the nth time. Good luck to you all and I hope the NOA2 logjam breaks soon.

I'd especially like to thank G&A for the fantastic chart, which you may now remove my name from! (L)

Good luck.

Can you explain in more detail what exactly you are looking for regarding the Transfer Sent Date and the Transfer Received Date? I just want to make sure I (we) are giving you what you're looking for.

I received a transfer NOA. Are both of those dates on that? Or is the received date when we got the notice in the mail? There are a few interpretations on this, and I would like to supply what you're looking for.

And thanks a ton for the chart. It is the best estimate so far, even better than the VJ estimate since so many enter bad data into their timelines. (c'mon people) (thanks to those accurately entering data btw)

Thanks again, Robin

Thanks Everyone, for all you good wishes! I still can't believe it happened. I'm not at all a 'lucky' person - I keep waiting for a meteroite to hit my house to balance this out. ^_^ OTOH, maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket!

I'll check in from time to time to see how you all are progressing, I'm amazed that nobody has a NOA2 yet.

Hang in there, maybe we're starting to pass thru a 'good spot' in the universe and things will start to move again soon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

I will be glad to explain. There are 3 dates associated with the transfer

An electronic notice / status update from Chicago indicating that your petition has been sent say to CSC

A letter in the mail a few days later with the same info

Another electronic notice / status update CSC (or VSC) indicating that the petition has been received and is pending (2-3 weeks later)

We are looking for the dates of the 2 electronic notices (note that the above columns are marked with an e and not an m) see table legend.

hope this helps

Sadly RocksAnne, I don't even know if my info was trans or not. They say my receipt number is still invalid after 3 weeks arrival. They told me it could take up to 30 days to see it online. I want to call but I don't want to give them leverage if its before the 30 days. At least if I call them after they have to give me a different answer. :)

Yes and no. Yes because it means your 129F is passing hands and the process is moving another step closer. No because CSC unless I'm mistaken had been statistically overwhelmed with apps and they're running a bit slow. I guess the same could be said for all of the centers now huh? :) All in all its a step in the right direction Raj. No worries

Hi Robin,

This is Ahmad I just recieved a email from National Benefit Center in Chicago and they said they transfered my I-129F today(7/20/07) to CSC . Can you please add this to the chart for an update and estimate time of the approval. I look forward to hearing from you very soon. Thanks!

Perhaps a bit strange, because they usually send the I129F to the same SC as the I130. Your sig says that you sent the I130 Vermont. Was it transferred to CSC? You will almost certainly not get an approval on the same day for both as they are doing for others recently if they are at different locations.

Just received email of 129F being transferred to California Service Center. Is that a good thing?
