Okaaaaaaaaay... I searched and cant find it. Anybody know how I can look up case status online for I-129F? I went to where I look up I-130 status and input MSC# I obtained from letter, but it says invalid.. am I at the wrong place. I hope someone reads this and can help me. Thanks..

P.S. ..wintime..Im sorry I went to bed soon after posted.. Im glad you got ur answers.

Sorry AhmadGwen4evr,

I've been waiting nearly two weeks from when I recieved my NOA1 (129F). They still haven't inputed it in the system yet. The immigration officer told me it could take up to 30 days. All I can tell you is to try and be patient :) Belated congrats on the NOA! :D:thumbs:

The strange thing to me is...married people still don't have it as good as engaged people. As an example of this, I did a VJ search of all the K1/K3 filers from March and found that 91% of the K1s have been approved, but only 44% of K3s have been approved. It's hard for me to understand why the UCSIC actually penalizes us for taking the next step and getting married.

Yeah, also if you've gotten married 'while visiting' the US, don't you get to just Adjust Status from the States without having to leave? I've been thinking I probably could've divorced my husband, popped across the border on a 'vacation', re-married him and applied to AOS in the time it's now going to take to get a K3 visa.

ha ha ha. :P

How you calculated the NOA2 for the I-129Fs It seems like you are guessing the VSC is moving slower than the CSC, are they?

Heys guys,

After being told that I would have to wait 30 days for the number on my NOA to pass through the system. I tried again today and still invalid. However....just for giggles, I tried the number they stamped on the back of my check that began with MSC its two numbers off from my NOA and it did actually work. Here's what I read:

Receipt Number: MSCXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Case received and pending.

?????????

I'm confused...

I'm guessing I'm way off because they said they recieved this on July 5th. My NOA1 says they recieved my I-129F June 28th.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

davejaz42107,

- I don't think the status you got into is yours, it clearly say I485 Application, yours is I-129F,

- I think you went way far on trying to guess the right number your case has, and you end up stepping into somebody else's status, that happened with me when I read my case number wrong from my check image for my I-130, I end up stepping into employment application.

So don't worry or get confused, the number you got after changing the last 2 digit isn't yours.

That's my thought, and by the way I just received my NOA1 for my I-129F, and I have the same invalid message

I think USCIS is confused :P Why do I have that number stamped on my check if it wasn't for me? Perhaps I don't understand the system well enough nor the entry process for apps. I would imagine it wouldn't take too long to enter I-129F as received and pending. As it took virtually no time to enter the I-130 into the online system once I recieved my first NOA1. I'm just ranting and try very hard to be patient. Sorry, I can't help it. :P

See just to confirm you and others that posted in this thread, I had my last digit off by one number, for example if the last digit was 7 on the back side of my check, when I got my NOA1, it was 8, but it still didn't work, we just need to wait, it's not big deal the status message at this early stage will not give us any usfull, or happy news. let it age, and we will see what's going to happen.

I would like to thank G & A for keeping this up to date for us all :) It is comforting to look at the names and dates listed here and to know we're not alone in playing this waiting game.

I also wanted to say congratulations to the 3 people who have had their I130s approved in such a short amount of time :) (how I wish I was one of them  )

Maybe we should add the March filers that still don't have their NOA2s. I think the delays started in March and it would give us a good idea of when ours might get approved.

Just a thought ;)

Let's hope they pick up the speed soon.

And everyone make sure to :time::) Not just in your signatures but on the Immigration Timelines menu :)

Good luck to us all. Perhaps it'll be a week full of good news :D

We can add lota6177 to the list of quick I130 approvals. Lota posted here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=78325

about getting the 130 approval in a little over 2 months. Another one to join michael, and RocksAnne and co. who now needs to learn about the CR-1 process.
