Hey all,

Per the USCIS press room for CSC, everyone should receive approvals and receipts by 20 July07. The site is below. Sorry I have not been around. Just became numb to this process. I have not received any receipt from CSC for the I-130 and the I-129 F. I am dissappointed in them. I feel that the person that has my case maybe has something against germans or military members :crying: I noticed some April filers received a notice or receipt. Any how, Im hoping that I will at least receive approval when I get back from seeing my pookie in Germany. Any how, I wish everyone here a quick process.

Urge

Maybe I spoke a few hours too soon... Just wanted to let you know that tonight I received an automated email from CRIS that as of today my case is now pending at CSC. This wasn't the case in the morning when I posted about not getting one. Anyhow, just to double check, I logged into my CRIS account and saw the same update for my I-129F. So, if you haven't gotten already, hopefully you will also get your update/confirmation soon... good luck.

Praying for your speedy update. Hopefully u 'll get yours soon. My best wishes.. hang in there bud.. We all will get there someday - hopefully sooner rather than later..

On the other note, looking at all the other cases(including mine), I am incline to say that your case IS already at CSC & is pending or even better getting worked on...Its just that this no update is probably due to the USCIS' system being overloaded/hosed ..et al.. but I do undertand the feeling of not hearing anything on ur case, since I was there at one time.. heck I m still there... I still have nightmares about USCIS loosing my case file or dumping/burying (ofcourse by mistake) it somewhere in a huge pile.. and it will take FOREVER for my NOA2.. :o OMG, I cant believe what kind of crazy things this process make u go thru.. hehehe...

Just FYI, there are many March and even February filers still waiting on NOA2. It seems that things have really slowed down lately...so don't make the same mistake we did and be counting on NOA2 coming soon...it's probably going to be a lot longer than you think. Hope I'm wrong but it's better to be pleasantly surprised rather than going crazy wondering why you still don't have NOA2!

Hi All,

This may be somewhat off the topic but something else I have "observed" in my case and a few others and it seems to more or less a trend.

What is it: Let me start off by saying its probably nothing and doesn't even need to be considered but if you see my signature below, I have had two touches(07/11, 07/12) since my I-129F case now pending @ CSC update online, which was on 07/10.

I have observed this "two" touch (three if you consider the transferred online update) trend in some other VJ members signatures too after their cases were transferred to their respective Service Centers and ofcourse a LONG wait time after these two touches - not surprising.

I wonder what they are doing with our cases during these touches, which seem to last over 2-3 days... I mean I can guess that they are probably updating/working on it to organize them as per their receipt date... I know many of the March filers still haven't received their NOA2 yet so I know for sure that they are NOT working on that just yet... but maybe who knows.. I just observed it and wanted to share with you all... and to see if it continues in other cases too.. It 'll be interesting..

Any comments/insights???

TC and wish e'one a very good luck for a speedy VJ. Have a great day.

Regards

Pkewl

Hi LvivLovers,

Thanks for sharing and I do agree with what you said above of getting your hopes high up just to see it crash in the end. And for that same reason, my wife and I have mentally/psychologically prepared ourselves for a wait time of anywhere between 6 to 12 months but hopefully we will be pleasantly surprised.

Being a first week of June K3 filer I m NOT expecting myself to hear anything about my NOA2 till about end of September, about 4 months away... esp seeing how things have slowed down at USCIS in general and even more so @ CSC.. hopefully I m wrong and its sooner but it doesn't hurt to be prepared for it... I m not trying to be negative or something but just like you I wanted to share this here to avoid some pain/heatburn on other members who are counting on a very speedy NOA2... tho I will be happy for them if they get one real fast..

Just wondering if anyone who is waiting for a NOA2 had tried calling the NVC to see if your petition had arrived there, even if you didn't get a notice, touch or email? With what's been happening with the NOA1 paperwork, and I thought I read someone else never got a NOA2 in the mail, but found out their petition was already at their consulate - I was wondering if any of our petitions were actually further along than we thought?

Ok. I'm hopelessly hoping there's some screwy reason why nobody's got a NOA2 yet.

yes there is something screwy... You applied for a K3 and followed the USCIS instructions but sending an I-130 followed by an I-129F. You should not be put in this situation where your I-130 is being processed as an IR-1/CR-1 without consideration of the I-129F... If i were you, i keep calling the USCIS until i get a good answer from the IO.

G,

I don't think this is really anything screwy. Yes, they did petition for a K3 when they submitted the I129F. They also petitioned for a CR-1/IR-1 when they filed the I130. The law that created the K3 stated that its purpose was to allow spouses to enter the country as nonimmigrants while their I130 was pending. This was back when I130s were taking more than a year to process. If an I130 is processed really quickly (as in 1 month) it doesn't mean the petition should expect or demand that their I129F get processed just as quickly.

The two petitions are processed independent of each other. The original theory being that the I129F would be processed quicker. Now, there was some anecdotal evidence here on VJ recently that the CS started getting the two petitions together and approving them the same day (then NVC gets the I129F and USCIS holds the I130 for AOS). This may be what they are trying to get to, and it will be easier after July 30 when the 2 petitions will be sent in the same envelope. But, because of the delayed NOA1s and consequently late mailings of the I129Fs of many of us, it is possible that this won't happen. For you and me, its probably not a worry, as both are sitting at the CS and they can do that if they want. But RocksAnne got her I130 worked on and approved before they receipted her I129F.

Before the reports here of the 2 petitions being approved the same day, and I130 processing started to improve, there were plenty of members in the race condition between the 2 petitions as what RocksAnne might see (depending on if/when her I129F is approved, and some members even successfully used their K3 interview time for the CR-1, but I understand the the different Canadian consulates that process these visa types might make that impossible for her). Only time will tell what they will be doing in the future.

Yes. I'm trying to be negative either...just want people to be better prepared than my wife and I were...we were expected to be approved in early June! On the positive side, with the fee increases coming end of July, hopefully they will be hiring more people and speeding things up, so I'm hoping that in a few months the processing times start coming back down. They've been getting quite a bit longer the last 2-3 months.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

Hi all

Yeah, I really shouldn't be freaked out about my I-129F NOA2 yet anyway, it hasn't been that long. It's easy to get caught up in the general anxiety about the delays especially when you see so many people who had filed months earlier than yourself who still haven't gotten theirs. I think what freaked me out the most was I was totally *not* expecting the I-130 to shoot thru like it did - I thought it would get held back and I suddenly found myself scrambling to read Shortcuts and DS-Whatsit forms and things I didn't think I'd have to deal with. But don't get me wrong - I sure appreciate having *something* that's actually being worked on since the K3 is so bogged down!

I would like to know how do you get the news that your I-129F's have been received after they were transferred and are now 'pending'. Are you getting email/CRIS/snailmail notices or are you actually phoning somewhere?

:)

RocksAnne...

If you did signed up to get updates on both of your cases then you 'll get a CRIS/USCIS online update email, which I believe is auto generated... And once the case is transferred to the respective service center.. it still retains the SAME case# which was assigned to your case initially from MSC.. Its still MSCxxxxx. I dont think the case number changes.. Anybody has a different take on this?

Hope this helps... Please let me know if you have any questions/comments or if someone would like to add to this.. please feel free to do so..

Thanks Pkewl, it does! I didn't know they'd keep the same case number. I did sign up for email updates but I haven't had any notice that VSC received it yet, or any touches since the NOA1. Hmmmm, looks like things are so backed up at VSC now that they can't even acknowledge receiving a transferred petition! I wish they'd issue some kind of statement about what's going on like CSC did.

My friend is about to file for her I-130 but she's not ready just yet. I only know what I did, I can't help her with how things are going to change. Does anyone have more information on filing the both forms together?
