I-130 for my wife and step-daughter is sitting on the couch, waiting for the post office to open Teusday.

We married May 8, 2007 but I have been waiting on the contract for our apartment to be finished.

The new "Prove your really married" section of the I-130 seems so difficult for newly wed couples.

I will file my petition May 29.

Someone asked why people wait months to come to USA after they get their visa approved.

My wife already said this would happen.

She has a job, and family, and property that will require her time.

With the uncertainity in the approval process, we can't really schedule to do much ahead of time.

While we would love to be together as soon as possible, we have to handle all the reponsibilities we have too.

I look forward to listening to all your stories as we all progress along this journey.

I would love to jump on a plane the next day but as it is not just me coming over I have my 2 daughters and the cats it all takes time to sort out schools and have the kitty passprts and medical certifacates done and arrange for them to get to the airport etc etc . Also, my house here is rented and I need to make sure keys are handed over and of course there are the heart-wrenching goodbyes to say to friends and family. Oh I am really not looking forward to that part - on second thoughts sod the responsible stuff we'll just jump on a plane and call from the runway!!

Married 16th April 2007 - Seattle :)

17th April completing military paperwork (Honeymoon?)

Emma flew back to UK 18th April 2007 :(

Change of name documents arrived for Emma and children

Fedex Em's paper work for I-130 to E in US - 10/05/07

E completed all his paper work - 13/05/07 (I'm impressed!)

Emma had nightmare that all her details were filled out incorrectly and actually spent 6 hours thinking it was real - 13th May !!!!!!

first hiccup - E "out" with work can't get to post office now until 21st May!!!

24th May 2007 - I-130 posted

29th May 2007 - I-130 received at 7am (somebody starts work early!!)

13th June Cheques cleared - one small step but an exciting one!

15th October NOA2 received - 145 days

Quick update Teeny step 2 completed:

I-130 Package has been signed for; 29th May, I think it may have been got caught up in holiday post traffic (I'm sure tjis must exist).

Officially starting mini-happy dance  with plan to progress to crazy happy jig when all this is done and dusted - obviously I will wait until out of the embassy prior to starting jig, don't want anyone changing their mind about my suitability!

Best of luck everyone

Emma

Hi All,

I am in the same boat as you all are. In fact, since I am not at the K-3 stage yet, I actually made a new thread in the IR/CR section to keep track of May I-130 filers. I mailed my I-130 to CSC and according to USPS website tracking, it reached CSC at about 10:30 AM as of 05/17/07. As of 05/31/07, I still haven't gotten the NOA1 and the check hasn't been cleared either from my bank account.

Since I am also going to file I-129F (K-3 Spouse), I am waiting so badly for my -130 NOA1 so that I can finally sent my I-129F packet off, which I have already prepared.

--------------------------------------------

If anyone is interested, this is what I posted in the other forum:

Hi,

I need some help to determine if I should have received my NOA1 (I believe its called) by now for my I-130, which I filed for my wife on 05/17/07 (recv'd by CSC per USPS web tracking). If it matters, I overnighted it late on 05/15/07 and hence it was received by CSC at 10:30 AM on 05/17/07 according to USPS.

My question:

In short, as of 05/31/07, I still haven't received any notice/correspondence from USCIS/CSC in regards with my wife’s I-130 application. In addition, as of today (05/31/07), even the check hasn’t been cleared from my bank account. I was told that I should receive the receipt in a week or so and since its been two weeks now, I was wondering if I should be worried about it and if I need to start emailing/calling (if its possible to do so at this point in time).

The reason why this is so important to me is becasue I am planning to file I-129F for the K-3 visa for my wife and hence its required for me to wait for the I-130 receipt, so that I can include it in my I-129F package.

Is there currently a delay at CSC in initial processing of I-130, at least as far as NOA1 is concerned? Can anybody please give me some input and if other May I-130 filers to CSC can share their timeline/status with me that 'd be great.

Thanks to all for your help and time. Appreciate it.

Regards,

Pkewl

Hello Pkewl,

I sent my I-130 on 5/17/07 and it was received at CSC in Nevada on 5/18/07. I too, have not received my NOA1 nor has my check cleared the bank. I filed same date as you, so I am hoping that you will keep me informed of any correspondence from them that you get, so that maybe I can start looking for correspondence from them to me. Let's stay in touch.

Thanks,

Deb

I mailed my I-130 to CSC and according to USPS website tracking, it reached CSC at about 10:30 AM as of 05/17/07. As of 05/31/07, I still haven't gotten the NOA1 and the check hasn't been cleared either from my bank account.

Since I am also going to file I-129F (K-3 Spouse), I am waiting so badly for my -130 NOA1 so that I can finally sent my I-129F packet off, which I have already prepared.

Regards,

Pkewl
