CONGRATULATIONS Deb!

Please write us from your way! Thanks! :)

we also sent the REF to the USCIS yesterday. we pray we will get our approval next week.

God bless you guys on your way

Thanks Amoro,

I sent my RFE on Dec. 26, they received it in their mailroom on Dec. 27. I received the email that they had resumed working the case on Jan. 7 and they approved both petitions on Jan. 9. Hope this is of some help to you to calculate when you might receive your approvals. Good luck!!!

Hi everyone

I m an Indian Citizen and my husband is a US citizen

We got married in August 2007 in India

My husband has filed all the paper work needed for wife immigrant visa and he got NOA-1 with my new last name (his last name) but I have a valid passport with my old name as single will that be a problem for issuing the visa?

Question – 1:- Is it necessary that PASSPORT MUST MATCH EXACTLY WITH THE NAME ON THE VISA?

Question - 2:- Do I have to make a fresh passport with my new last name and marital status?

Please reply at the earliest

Question: My I-130 and I-129F(K3) has been approved after 9 months on 1/8/08. They over nighted the application to NVC and NVC recieved it on 1/10/08 and created a case number. Here are my questions below.

1) How long does it usualy take to go from NVC to embassy(New Delhi)?

2) Anyone that has sent their application to New Delhi, do you know how long the embassy usually takes for I-129F K3 visa processing?

3) I am planning on going to India too see my wife for vacation. I have gotten my NOA-2 in the mail for both I-130/129F. Is it a good idea for me to go to the embassy with my spouse to see if I can expedite the process there and if they allow me to bring my wife back with me?

4) Has anyone done what I am talking about in question 2 and what are their experience.

Thank you all for your replies.

Hello there,

I am from London,UK and also have filed for a K3 on 13th June 2007, got the two approval letter conferming that my app. was recived, nothing since then it has been 7 months :( .

Is it getting late for all or its just me? What happened about your case?

Regards

Well wisher.

Yes we should all stick together and provided moral support (and some light hearted competiveness perhaps? :) )!

My husband (oh I love saying that :) !!!) posted I-130 for me and the children on 23rd May  . He is not able to check the mail regularly for the next couple of weeks so I am just going to relax about it all for 2 weeks! I already have the I-129f stuff put together!!

Best of luck to you all! I'll keep you posted

Emma

There are quite a few people in your shoes at the moment :(

Those that filed in June/July were hit by the huge influx of petitions trying to beat the fee increase. Due to the massive number of additional petitions USCIS were snowed under. We don't really know what impact this will have on processing times, especially as all of these petitions are now at/hitting their 6 months limit. Only the next couple of months will show how much extra delay petitioners will experience.

The misinformation (customer server) line is telling people to wait a further 30 days when they phone to enquire about petitions but yours in now at 7 months from the receipt date (which USCIS have stated they will honour) so it can't hurt to phone up and ask if they have further information.

Best of luck,

Cheryl

oh, wow.. I feel very bad now.. most of the people on the list are approved.. :crying: :crying: Finally, they told me I am out of processing times and they created a "service request" yesterday.. hopefully something will come through, but they told me to wait another 45 days.. yeah right, I'm calling them on Thursday.. I have been calling a lot (3 times just last week) to bug them.. I'm going to give them a bad attitude if they give me one..  has anyone else gotten a "service request"?.. will it solve anything?.. are they actually going to look into my case?.. I saw some people get approved real fast within a service request, while others had to initiate a 2nd or 3rd one.. :crying:

Thanks G&A for keeping updated with the charts!!! Too bad I'm not one of the green ones..

My journey has been like this since approval:

* Once it was approved, it took 3 weeks for CSC to mail the petition to the National Visa Centre.

* Once at the NVC, it was there less than a week before being sent to the embassy.

* A couple of weeks after that I received the packet 3 from the London embassy.

* Sent all the required forms back to them within a week of receiving it.

* Interview date is almost 2 months from the date they received all the paperwork back.

Once you're out of USCISs clutches, it really is a much much smoother journey :) 2-3 months is the average waiting time for an interview in London though :)
