Hi all................... thanks for all the support... I woke to find an email from CRIS stating that both the I 129 and I 130 were approved !

What a great Christmas present!

congratulations! it was a very good news...

I hope our cases will be approved very soon. We called the USCIS and the lady said they are working on May 19. now.

Although we filed our cases on June 12 and the timeframe is over, she said we should wait one month more.

A question, should you send both of your cases to NVC or one of them? what is the next step?

How is it if you come to the US with your I-129F, and then what happens with your I-130?

I wish the best for you and I hope you will be with your family very very soon.

A question, should you send both of your cases to NVC or one of them? what is the next step?

How is it if you come to the US with your I-129F, and then what happens with your I-130?

I wish the best for you and I hope you will be with your family very very soon.

That decision is actually out of our hands, USCIS make it for us. They hold the I130 in the national records centre for when we are ready to adjust status from within the US, and they send the I129F onto the NVC to continue it's journey onto the consulate/embassy.

When this happens, the petitioner has the option of filing an I-824 (more money) to "kick start" the I130 back on it's journey to the NVC, but this takes roughly 6 months to be put into action and forwarded. By that time, you should already have your K3 in hand so it's a bit of a moot option (unless there is a pressing need for the I130 to continue, that is) :(

I must admit, they have me scratching my head. I didn't think they would approve the I129F after so long. I fully expected to have them give me the same story they gave kathryn (divinemercy) :( *that still really really sux kathryn* Now I wonder which will get to USEM first, my original K3 petition or my newly submitted CR1 :D

Hi Dave,

That is really weird that they would choose to do that to Kathryn. Hers was approved in July. Yours was approved in August and they approved yours????? I am joining you with the scratching of the head. It does really suck that they did Kathryn like that. I am surprised they are letting you go ahead with the K-3. So which one are you actually going with cuz I notice that you have already paid your I-864. Can you still go with K-3 even though you have gotten this far with the I-130? I guess u can. Whichever makes it to the embassy first...

07/07/07 NOA1 Received!!!

07/30/07 I-129F Transferred to VSC (Snail mail notice says as of 7/24)

08/28/07 I-130 Approved!!! (notification by email from CRIS)
