at least it was right this time... with a PRIORITY DATE of 20070416... 4/16/2007... that is still 6 months right now no matter how you calculate it... well, now I WANT MY NOA2.. just like everyone else here on Visajourney.. I'm going to throw a temper tantrum on the phone to USCIS today.. this is ridiculous.. if they do "deny" my application, I'm bringing it to court too.. I have enough evidence just like everyone else.. maybe even more.. did anyone else send 20+ pictures for their I-130 (both sets of parents, me and her, me and her with both parents)??:angry:

Nah, gogo I sent 10. I did include what you had sent although not as many. I'm with you, I understand the need for security but this is crazy :hehe:

I called the USCIS today, and tried to use the RFE trick like most people mention here, but no luck, I couldn’t pass the customer service rep. at all.

But I called again with the straight truth that my I-130 has been there for over 180 days, then they transfer me to someone else they call customer service, and I had to wait for 25 minutes on the line, but I think it’s not the customer service I think that person is in CSC, because how could they transfer me from customer service to another.

Anyway, they told me that the processing date is:

For the I-130 the processing date is May 19th

For the I-129F the processing date is April 29th 2007

So I said I have sent my I-130 on May 10th, she then told me that they can’t be looking into my individual case being late unless it’s 30 days out of the processing date.

I couldn’t get any information from her at all.

I really still don’t understand why the process of a US citizen bringing his spouse to the US should take all this time, it make no sense to me at all

But

But

How nice that they set their own 6 month deadline and extend it to 7 months when it suits them. So from this we can gather that it is pointless to call them until we reach 210 days so they can tell us that we need to wait an additional 30 before they can do anything... 240 days.. wait another 30... 270 days.. wait another 30. Is there an actual limit to this or can they continue to drag it out forever?

Properly executing the RFE trick means that you go from the automated system right to a rep at CSC. Your call should not be answered by a regular call center type CSR.

The second call might have transfered you to a higher level call center CSR; or you got a person at CSC who did not care enough to look at your case. The people who get some info from the RFE are fortunate that the person to whom they speak cares enough to look at their case and give some meaningful info, as what happened to my case when I called when my I130 received date was 180 days gone, and my I130 NOA1 date was 167 days gone.

Divine Mercy

you dead on it, 30 days after another that's what I am expecting to happen if I called USCIS again, not sure what to do my wife really impenitent now, and I don't know what to do, I just promised her to come and visit for three weeks but that's all I can do.

Urge To Race

I see what you saying for the RFE trick, I will try that again tomorrow, I don't usually call the USCIS unless I have solid reason, and I do, my I-130 has been there for more than 180 days, also I am off from work for few days, so I will trying calling tomorrow.

Thanks to both of you for your understanding and helpful replies

Hey Guys! I had an emotional rollercoaster today. I was returning home from work and as always I look hopefully at my mailbox in the thought that I might have something from USCIS or NVC. To my ellation I discovered that today there was indeed letter from NVC in Portsmouth, NH! However as I read the notice, my heart sank... I received the infamous "checklist of missing documents". They said that they recieved my I-864 AOS but they did not receive the 380.00 payment for the immigrant visa bill. I started to panic. Thankfully I have been incredibly organized in this process and I had the copy of everything. I called up NVC and spoke with the woman, she was super nice and relieved my fear that they had lost my payment. She said that it had been received after the checklist had been generated and they still had sent out the checklist anyway. Shortly after that they also sent my DS-230 Packet. So once again I am happy but damn them for playing with my emotions

davejaz, sorry about the emotional rollercoaster. what more to expect from ...

anyways, do you think your 129F is lost? The last time it was touched was several months ago. have you tried asking VSC about it?

G,

I called and I was told that it is still pending in standard processing. There was no further info they could give or action they could take. I was advised to allow 180 days to pass for the transfer to complete. They sound so benevolent when they say it I almost wonder if they realize 180 days is 6 months. I think because I've pursued the CR1 Immigrant instead of K3 Non Immigrant they are holding on to it. *sighs* I'm getting pretty proficient at waiting... ;)

But

I was trying to make another call today, but I went to check my online USCIS profile, even though I have checked it this morning, so I am checking for the second time, and the reason for me checking for the second time is to check before I call today the USCIS trying the RFE trick Urge to Race mentioned above, and I found that my I-129F date has been updated to today 11/20, this is the first touch to my case since it went to CSC, now it may be obvious that this touch is because of the phone call I made yesterday, but when I made the call most of my conversation with the lady was about my I-130, and I only gave her the case number for I-130, I never gave her the I-129F case number, maybe she searched with the info. I gave about my I-130 to find my I-129F, but it's still a hope in my side that this touch may be it,

the bottom line, I am not calling today I will wait to see where this touch will go, and I will not know that until after the Thanks Giving holyday, that means next week Wed. or even Friday, if I haven't received any by then I will go head and make a call

Hello A,

Yes, it is official. They are not updating the website completely. Kingsley's Princess was approved, according to the website, for I-130 only. Today, she got both approved petitions in the mail today, I-130 and I-129F. It should be just any time for my husband and me. We sent our petition in on May 18, so we are over due as of Sunday. Gotta keep praying!!!!! Congratulations G & A!!!! I am so very happy for you two.

Deb
