Zabumba is also a Brazilian restaurant in Culver City. It is down the street from Cafe Brasil and the shopping mall. There is also a new Brazilian restaurant at the Century City mall.

I pass Zabumba all the time, I think it's a club now, not a restaurant anymore.

I'm in, Steven! I can walk there, which means wine.gif

How about Thursday, June 14th and location will be one of the Brazilian restaurants in Culver City? I work really close to Culver City so I would just have Jinky drive over to my office and we'd go straight to the restaurant from there. Should we make a list of the people are interested?

Steven and Jinky

Devilette and spouse

MarilynP and spouse

Scott and Lai

(sorry if I added anyone who doesn't want to be on it - just thought I'd start a list...please add or subtract yourself as needed) :star:

Ah Marilyn, after a few margaritas, you'll be dancing on the table. :P

I think Alex said they have to fly back on the 15th out of San Diego, so if there's only a small window for us all to meet. Would Wednesday night be better? I'm just throwing suggestions out there. :star:

it is probably a little far for us to go, specially because hubby has to work the next day...

I think they are flying out of San Diego on the 17th but I think they do want to spend a few days in San Diego too...

My wife and I did this two years ago.

To get the most out of the drive, stay in Monterey the night before you head south & hope the weather is clear. Take your time, stop a lot, take pictures (especially of the Bixby bridge). Stay in Cambria the next night, which is the first real place to stay after the Big Sur drive.

If you have time, go see Hearst Castle and the Elephant seals in San Simeon when civilization picks up after highway 1.

Let's plan on meeting at one of the Brazilian restaurants in Culver City (can you find out which one is really good?) on Thursday, June 14th!

Once we get a head count and are definite on the place and time, one of us can be the one to make the reservations. :star:

Anyone who's interested, just PM me and we can exchange contact info.
