I saw it too!!!!  Will be submitting P3 documents later today.

You should not email P3 documents (or submit the DS-160) until the date changes again (what I've called 'the SECOND READY'). You'll get the date change probably 2 weeks from now. Emailing those now or anytime before the date changes again will delay your case, and you'll get an angry email from the consulate (based on what others who did this said).

What's your basis for saying it will delay the case? I've never heard/seen that anywhere. Also you can submit the DS-160 as soon as you have your MTL case number.

Also - @Brylie and @Lori Johnson have been stuck at "In Transit" since March 19th, other shipments from March 19th that changed to ready for the first time in the last couple days sent P3 in successfully ( @purem4g1c I believe). There's a chance some people's statuses are skipping the "First READY." Willing to bet their recent/first "READYs" were when P3 was mailed.

@MeghanK @purem4g1c - I got P4 and booked my interview for May 29th! However, in my frenzy of booking the appointment, afterwards I noticed in the instructions from P4 it notes "When prompted to select “Trip Purpose”, you must choose ‘Permanently Immigrate to the US.’" I selected the option for booking a K Visa interview, and paid for it online through the system. is this what you guys did? There was no "trip purpose" option...?

Thanks!

That's what I did too.  No "trip purpose" option.  I sure did spend some time panicking about that though.

Whatever if you get an angry email, just resubmit it later lol. Nothing wrong with sending it soon as you see "Ready" xD

purem4g1c is right! My status changed to ready on April 1, then the date changed to April 2 and I followed their advice and sent in P3.. today I got P4 and paid my fee and booked my interview. I'm glad I followed it because I got a great interview date... 2 days before my birthday lol I say once you see "ready" send P3 in! Don't waste time!

Probably just another example of canned language that goes to all visa types. Just rechecked our P4 and saw that, I don't think I even noticed that when we did ours. As long as you were in the immigrant visa section (green heading background) and went through the steps: courier > pay $265 fee > book interview, you've definitely done everything correctly.

Looks like things are changing from a few months ago. In January and February 100% of people who sent in P3 for the first ready (which happened within a day or two of in transit) were being rejected. Maybe they caught up on some back log! Looks like great news either way for everyone at the consulate arrival stage!

I created my account to book interview and paid the fee.  I did not select an interview date though.  The dates showing as available are May 22 and 29.  I know this sounds crazy but I would prefer an early June interview.  I assume I can just keep checking for when June dates show as available and then finish the process?

Yes it does seem like timelines are speeding up! This is very exciting news for everyone on or beginning this journey. Breathing a big sigh of relief!

Actually it looks like it's still taking 2 weeks from NVC left to P3. Speeding up by a day or two but I think the real change is the pattern of status changes on CEAC. Or maybe there was just something whacky going on w March 19. Will be interesting to see how the April 2 shipping statuses go...
