Hopefully your fiancé can get some more information... even just the reason why you’re stuck in AP so at least that would provide some relief.

The process is not very transparent, and that can certainly be discouraging.

Totally agree, the longer it goes on the more down days I have and more worries.

It's time for Chayne to contact his Congressman and get the form in to allow them to request information on his behalf. A senator can also be contacted. He may already know one of them or one office may have better aides assisting constituents with immigration.

Then he needs to clearly explain the case and what he wants them to ask. The status or how long won't be fruitful. But something more specific like

1) request that a person actually pull your physical  file to assure them it is not lost or misplaced.

2) request that the person viewing the physical file assure them that there is actual evidence or notation that something is indeed pending that is preventing issuance of a fiancé visa and it's not a clerical error on the status as shown on the computer or the CEAC (write out what the letters stand for.... I forget).

Thanks that’s really useful questions to ask with how bizarre our case is. Where would he get the form to allow them to request info on his/our behalf?

@Wuozopo also should the senator send to the embassy (ours can only be contacted through a contact form on the embassy webpage ) or elsewhere? And I found the privacy release form

The  aides helping with immigration will know about the release form and they will know how to contact the embassy directly. That's their job to know those things or find out. They will not use the website contact form. Hopefully they will be more formal than that with a proper letter.

He will have a choice of three people to contact. His Congressman (aka Representative) in the House of Representatives which represents his district within the state. Or each state has two senators that represent the whole state. I would contact my Representative because he has an office in my area I would visit in person. And I have met him before. My senators have a whole lot more people to help because they cover everybody in the whole state of Texas. That's just my personal choice.  Ask Chayne if he knows his Representative  or his Senators as starters. Or just pick one or make phone calls to see which sounds helpful.  "Do you have an aide who can help me with an immigration issue?"

He will contact his senator as his lawyer knows him and I’ve checked out his webpage and he has two aides listed to help with contacting federal departments. Thank you so much for your suggestion as every other I’ve read seemed like it would be fruitless in our weird case. You’ve given me back a tiny bit of hope.

Well if asked and answered, it will maybe rule out that it's lost somewhere which is a fear. And without giving out their supposed investigation, it may confirm that yes, there really is something holding it up.

If that is the case, then it's more waiting, but perhaps you can rule out that it has fallen off the grid.

I think the query should go to the Immigrant Visa Unit since they interviewed you.

Another question is---asking if your file is still physically with the IVU since your tracking status changed to Nonimmigrant on [date] and you want to confirm it didn't get misplaced between the two divisions. Have him send the specific questions in writing so they are clear what you want asked.

Fingers are crossed for you!  Even if it isn’t an immediate approval, something to help you guys relax and gain some confidence that the approval is coming would go a long way!!

I have been checking on you off and on.  Got my fingers crossed and a prayer that things will finally start moving for you.  Our interview is on the 26th in London.  Would be my luck that I find myself in your place.  Sending you good vibes for a speedy remedy to this.

Really hoping we both hear something remotely positive soon. 62 days is hell enough, I feel so bad for you that youve been waiting this long and empathise completely. Big hugs to you both.

@AmandaandChayne @moreadore

I don't know if either of you have read this transcript of a teleconference session concerning the K1 screening process. It gives some insight into how many and what types of records they check. It's a little more than 3 years old so the numbers and databases have probably increased.

Yep read it and Ive read every type of FBI screening type, thanks I'll give it another read.  I had the SSSS on my boarding passes 4 times in a row in 2017 so it's possible some "bad" person has a name or aias that matches mine though with two midddle names I'd have to be very unlucky!!
