Interview Cancelled by USCIS

My recent case status update for my AOS went from “Ready to be scheduled for interview” to “Interview cancelled”.

I’ve only received one RFE and provided the required information within 24 hours.

The last letter from USCIS was a courtesy letter saying I need to provide the I-693 (report of medical exam) during my interview or my application will be denied.

Should I be concerned that my interview was cancelled?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Usually this is due to the IO or field office becoming unavailable on the scheduled date/time. Wait for a formal letter with an update.

Not impossible, but they stopped general interview waivers for any a spouse (including from K-1) at least a year ago.

That would be wonderful (no interview), if that were the case and I can only hope. It will hopefully speed up the process.

I haven’t even received my EAD/AP - I t’s scheduled for adjudication in late Feb 2019.

Yes, it is being processed through the NBC.  I pray that this is the case! Fingers crossed.

My case is FB-1 through a parent, not spouse.  Not sure if that makes any difference.

Just FYI, most (if not all) AOS go through NBC first to check if the file is complete and do the fingerprint review. From there on it eventually gets send to the local office. What I've read is the moment your status changes to 'ready for interview' you got in the que at your local office for an interview. From there on it's just a waiting game until your local office gets a spot free for the interview, what could take a while

That makes perfect sense. I appreciate the insight.  My EAD/AP is going on it’s 5th month waiting time, which is still within the typical 4-6 month window.  I hope I get it soon.

When did your parent file the I-130? Where you under 21 at that time? What status are adjusting from?

Over 21. For the Philippines, it does take a very long time. The long priority wait is over so just waiting for adjudication, which is a shorter wait in comparison.
