Hi folks, here is my situation. I submitted N400 online in December 2018 and had taken the bio. Just notice that I need to make a change to the "names used". My official name is never changed but in my current company, people call me my English name "George" cuz my name is difficult for them to pronounce correctly. This English name is never used for any official document like offer letter etc. I feel I need to add this to N400 but I did not when submitting it online in January. How can I make a change?

Also, if I change a job after submitting N400, do I need to make a change also?

any suggestion will be appreciated.

Hi George,

Unless you've made a legal change to your name, or have used "George" on any of your official documents (ID, Bank, marriage license) you should not include it in your n400.  If you change your application now, it will unnecessarily confuse the agents, as they are looking for official names for your background checks.

I agree with Jessica, people called people with different names and if it not in any official document or you did not change officially, it is not other name.

If you got mistake during N-400 Form  And you submit it online , You have time and chance with officer to correct every thing like spell and names and address and work history
