Hi All - I wanted to share my experience with USCIS Texas Service Center. My I 765 and I 131 got denied due to the records reflecting that I have now become a permanent resident. This is however not correct so my attorney opened a service request with Texas Service Center to fix the error.  The case was expedited but I still did not know what was going on and was super worried since I have been taken out of the payroll and I have mortgage and other home loans for my parents house etc. I emailed the Texas Service Center and they have been really responsive and helpful. I think the paper work and file transfers takes time even though the USCIS policy (https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume1-PartA-Chapter12.html) says in case of error things will be fixed in 5 days that is not true scenario.  Anyways, amidst all this stress the Texas Service Center has been super helpful and have kept me posted on my case. I am a State of Texas employee and I feel Federal and State employees do not get appreciated enough and that is the reason I am writing about my experience.

My issue is still unresolved but I have faith in Texas Service Center. We have to have faith in system and be a little patient. I was desperate and going to contact congresswomen/ senator and all but now I just feel maybe I might get some resolution soon enough. Hoping for the best ! I will keep you all posted on my case. My denial notice came in mail  on Jan 28 at this time my case in transit to office who initially processed it.

There could be few changes made to existing system like I 765 before being denied  and people having to resign or lose their jobs; a change could be made to communicate final decision to petitioner/ attorney via email and they could be given a week or two time to respond to see if there is any error especially when you want to confirm if they are a permanent resident or not.  Well this is all above my paygrade or way above from where I am sitting :)

Hoping for best and signing out

Thanks,

DM
