Chez Helene must have been Quebec only, it doesn't sound at all familiar. According to Wiki, it ran until 1973 on the CBC, but I don't remember it at all. Only 15 minutes each episode though, so I probably just missed it while eating breakfast er summat.

I do remember The Forest Rangers though, I used to have such a crush on one of them. I even dreampt about him. Can't remember his name now. It showed on TV after school til I don't know when. It was only filmed until 1966, but it was still on TV in re-runs until I was 11 or 12 I think. Maybe longer.

I went to one of the Degrassi wrap parties. I knew a guy who was on the production crew.

I remember Chez Helene. Suzy was her mouses' name. I can barely remember it, so maybe you're not as old as I am! It was 15 min. long, and the other 15 min. was taken up by the Friendly Giant. The Mr. Dressup.... lol

It was on a little later in the morning if I remember. I got to watch it when I was sick.

I remember Chez Helene! And I LOVED The Friendly Giant.... especially when his big finger pushed the little rocking chair. I have absolutely no recollection of Forest Rangers, though.

Yes, Oakville has certainly changed over the years. I'll cling to my small town memories of it. But I agree... I wouldn't want to live there now, either. Though my parents still do, and my brother lives in Bronte. We lived in the Coronation Park area so I went to Blakelock. Hated that school. QEP's gone now.... they're building houses on it.

Dunno why they'd tear down QEP, that was the new school. I started there the first year they opened, but that was in Grade 6, they were just trying to fill it up. Blakelock, well that's ANCIENT, my mother went there jeez, I think everyone went there.

OMG, Polka Dot Door!!! I hated that show.

We know someone who kept talking about her boyfriend this and her boyfriend that but every time she was set to bring him over he would always back out at the last minute. Finally I told her that she must be going out with Polkaroo because nobody ever saw the guy except her.
