I have my K1 visa interview scheduled for Friday 15th Feb in London. There may perhaps be a bit of an emergency health type situation happening(waiting to find out just exactly what we're dealing with)-if push comes to shove would there be any point in attempting to request expidited visa issue....or(as I assume) at this point in the proceedings it's not going to make anything happen any quicker & we just have to wait no matter what the state of play(re Fiancé's health) turns out to be?

Am praying for some kind of miracle concerning his wellbeing-obviously the preferred option!

At this point the expedite won't help. From what I've seen London is pretty fast so I don't think you could speed that up any faster. All the I's dotted and T's crossed before the visa can b be printed.

Expedite would not be faster. It requires paperwork which might not even get submitted and reviewed before the 15th. But you can certainly mention your concerns to the interviewer (person at second window you approach) and ask if there is anything he can do to push it through faster. Act sincere, sad, or get teary eyed...whatever it takes to try for some sympathy. My wife is a master of that. She got ahead of literally 300+ people at one of the driver license mega-centers last month. They weren't even allowing any more inside because it was too full. I swear she not only got in the door, but then the door lady came and processed her renewal and she was out the door in 15 minutes. It doesn't hurt to try.
