Hi VJ family.  Please can anyone tell me, after fiancé completes his online app for DS-160, how long can he wait before he has to pay his fee?  I know after he pays, in 2 days he can set up interview, however can he wait longer than 2 days to pay?  Is there a time limit after completion of the app?  Thank you.

Hello, Now I'm not 100% sure this is the same for Senegal. I'm based UK and I filled the DS-160 online (no fee for completing the DS-160?) but then when you go onto the https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-US/countries_list/iv website and select your country you pay during that

Hi VJ family.  Please can anyone tell me, after fiancé completes his online app for DS-160, There is NO FEE for the DS-160. I for the life of me don't know why most think they are paying a "DS-160 Fee and your not. There are only two fees to pay, the Embassy interview fee and the medical fee. That's it.

how long can he wait before he has to pay his fee? You have one year to interview, be approved and be on the bus with wings and enter the country. I know after he pays, in 2 days he can set up interview, however can he wait longer than 2 days to pay?  Is there a time limit after completion of the app?  Thank you.

Now a days "app" can be something on a phone or it can be an abbreviation for "Application". I take it that you mean application. So being that it is application, what application are you speaking of?

You have a window of 4 months to which to complete your interview. (The NOA2 date is when the stopwatch starts the countdown) If you can't finish in that time period then contact your embassy and ask for an extension. They will require a good excuse so be prepared.

Got it.  So it is Embassy fee.  I guess I hear many people saying they have to pay the DS-160 fee & that is why I thought it was actually for DS-160.  Hey, I would be the first one to admit I continue to learn, lol.  Thanks for keeping me straight.

He is working on setting up medical & consular interview.  I did hear that Dakar is pretty good when it comes to being able to set up an interview.  You can usually get one within 4 weeks.

I don't know who started referring to the interview fee as the DS-160 fee but it's almost common knowledge that the Embassy interview fee is now known as the DS-160 fee and it is NOT. It's the Embassy interview fee.  :D It's all good.
