I posted this question under someone elses thread, but I guess it was missed.

Under the instructions it says you only need the income tax records if your self employed. He isn't self employed, did we need them anyway?

We have the letter from employer, letter from the bank, bank statements, W2......

I'm asking here, because I've noticed some of the Canadian requirements are different from other countries.

The consular officer can ask for proof of the numbers entered on the I-134 form, IRS returns with W2 are the best proof for most people. Tax transcripts are also acceptable evidence to prove what is on the I-134.

Most consulates treat the I-134 and ask for the same types of financial evidence as used for the I-864 becaise the K-visas are NonImmigrant visas with immigrant intent.

It is best to provide this info up front rather than them telling you that they need it and put the visa interview on hold.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

• I-134 signed and notarized.
  
• Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS
  
• Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years
  
• Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.
  
• Photo copies of past 6 months pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.

He has them. I'll have to get him to mail it. I hope copies will do. I know he won't send the original in the mail. He's coming in July, probably won't have my interview till well after and he can bring it up.

Was beginning to think my posts were invisable or something

Just thought some of our requirements were alittle different.
