I have applied on february 8 2019. All i have recieved is a confirmation letter saying that the application was recieved. What am i supposed to recieve next? Has anyone that applied in feb have gotten an answer? My documents went to rhe nebraska office

Normal processing times at Nebraska dictate that you will probably be waiting until at least this coming February to hear anything.

Nebraska right now is taking around a year. We are February filers in Nebraska too, we submitted an I129f for a K3 as many had said that doing so at Nebraska would result in the I129f being denied and the I130 being approved in an average around 30-60 days. We submitted our I129f in July and we had our I129f denied on Sept 19 and our I130 approved the same day, 50 days after we sent I129f and 7 months after I130, I recommend you do so as well so as to cut some time off your wait

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

At least you got that initial doc review quickly...

We replaced a police certificate 24 Oct after an initial doc review 7 Oct; everything had been originally submitted 28 Aug.

Hello,

I got approved by NVC on Tuesday 19th of November. I’m waiting for my interview date now.

February filers your turn is coming too.

Service Center: Texas

Noa2: August 19th

NVC received: September 11th

1st and only submission: October 19th (the CEAC maintenance was annoying)

NVC approved: November 19th

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello all, I filed my i130 on FEB 2019 and now CEAC uploads were done.

I uploaded all the necessary documents to CEAC on November 4th and an additional document on November 14th 2019.

my question is do I get any sort of confirmation from NVC that they have received the documents?

or does it follow the normal 60-90 day review period?

i have NOT gotten any email or receipt saying they have received the documents I’ve scanned and sent

You don’t get any notice. If it all says “submitted” then that is your only “notice”, just that it says submitted

Thank you,

Also I was not able to submit my DS261 choice of agent online. The link was grayed out on CEAC. Is that because I chose my spouse as the agent on my i130 initially?

DS261 is obsolete so they don’t use it anymore, that’s why it’s not clickable

I've been waiting for my interview letter , in 14 days it will be exact 3 months since DQ email, that said nvc will work with Mumbai embassy for your interview date.

As per the NVC website, it states it will anywhere from 30-90 days to process the uploaded documents if not mistaken.
