I dont see it as a big deal. I was proud Pelosi made comments to the effect of respecting the office of the President and thought she was fairly well behaved.  I also thought Trump gave a great speech and someone did a good job of keeping him conciliatory and purposeful. 

 

As for Stacy Abrams she is nothing more thzn a race hustling poverty pimp, who has made big money off her non profits and still is in debt and a deadbeat off biblical proportions. That cant be the best the Dems have to offer.

The whole white thing... might look good as the camera pans across the crowd, but I'm pretty sure women not only are able to vote, but also work.  In Congress, even.

I think they insulted the suffragette movement by not applauding women being saved from sex trafficking.

Omg guys I didn't know you were such fashion police.  Little busy trying to get dinner ready but, really wearing white is a common thing... done a lot before. It's supposed to honor suffragettes who really helped get those women in congress where they are today (a record number elected and the white color helped them to stand out). Melania did it last year, others have done it before. Tiffany did it this year. Besides it's okay to wear white before Labor Day, and they all looked pretty fab (though I think AOC had a tank top under her coat oh no honey!).

 

And Bill.... believe it or not, there are some people that would like to see that happen and have suggested it. Fringey yes... but exists.

 

I had a nice SOTU free evening. Don't much care for them and think they are a waste of time and money.

Actually, I thought the White rule was between Memorial Day and Labor Day, if it is just Labor Day then every day is before Labor Day except of course for Labor Day itself.  I wonder what would happen if a lot of folks came to a SOTU in hunting gear in support of the 2nd Amendment?  Regardless, it just looked childish, but it was nice to see President Trump get them to give him a standing ovation right before he started talking about late term abortions.
