Hi..

Which one is faster at processing interview dates Montreal or Vancouver? I looked at the Embassy websites

and Montreal says 2-4 months wait time for interview date..Vancouver says 3-5 days from when they recieve

the check list and the DS-230 back..When I called the MEAN woman at the US Embassy in Montreal yesterday

I was asking her the precedure about transfering from Montreal to Vancouver for a faster date..She became very nasty and told me that Vancouver ws no faster then they are..So I told her what the website was showing shse said she didn't care about the website this was her job and she knew what she was talking about..So needless to say she would not tell me how to go about transfering the case..Can anyone advise on this issue? Or share your stories please..

Thank you

Michelle

honestly I wouldn't pay much attention to the timelines posted on their website, but rather the timelines posted here.

I had my interview way back in 2004, and I recall at the time they said it would be 2 to 3 months to get an interview date and it was more like 2 weeks er sumthin. When I called them I was basically told the same thing you were, only a bit more politely methinks!

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

Those timeline is for applications processed by the non-immigrant visa unit... K3's are processed by the Immigrant Visa Unit... so those times do not apply...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can 'transfer' your case from Montreal to Vancouver or vice versa unless maybe if you move ?? They have their own jurisdiction based on where you live, Vancouver handles cases from the west part of Canada and Montreal does the east.

Me- Indonesia & hubby - US

married in Vancouver, Canada

USCIS-free for 10 years !

I had mine transferred from Montreal to Vancouver. I lived in Toronto. The difference is, we requested our case be transferred before it reached Montreal. We had to call USCIS for that. But I've read that some requested their case be tranferred to Vancouver and they were succesfull.
