I looked up my case status and this comes up it’s been like this for 3 weeks . From my understanding they sent a letter to me and I can start the online process of filling out the papers and paying the visa fee. But I haven’t received any letter at all and when I put in the invoice number it says that my case hasn’t been process yet. I am extremely confused.

please provide more information, are you a CR1 or a K1, if the ceac status says at NVC you will just need to wait for an interview time to be scheduled, you will then receive email from NVC telling you your date and time for interview, it can take weeks to sometimes months to receive depending on the embassy.

This is normal for a CR-1 visa.  You should have gotten an email with instructions.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Contact NVC, and ask them to resend the email.....

when did you get the email for the case # and invoice#?

if it was recent it might take a day or 2 I have heard this has happened to people before.

It’s been 5 years since I got my case number. My father is the one who is bringing me to the states .

Now I am really confused as in what’s going on with my case.

should I call the NVC and tell them to resend the email? Is my case up for an interview?

Call NVC and verify your invoice number is available. You need both case # and invoice # to login.

That’s what it says when I put invoice number and case number. So my question is , is my case not ready for an interview? Even though it says to follow the 6 steps to start the interview process?
