Okay, this will sound like a silly question. I had my embassy interview on Monday. The visa was granted. A courier delivered a black plastic bag today which feels like it contains my passport and my visa.

At the embassy i was instructed NOT to open the parcel. I'm being silly - is it okay to open the black plastic container bag which contains the passport and parcel?

The black courier bag seems like a courier container.

From what others have said - you can open the outer container- you'll need your passport, afterall. But there will be an inner brown envelope that you DON'T open.

Check the UK regional forum as well - I think someone asked that question not too long ago . . . .

HI! I feel the same at first! But yes, you need to get your passport inside. Try to open it just to get your passport. DO NOT OPEN OR TEAR any packet or documents in there. heheheheheh!

Like my friend, out of excitement. She opened the packet. She went back to the embassy to have it resealed. Its another waste of time!
