If you marked the box on the DS-260 asking for a SS card, it should be mailed to you within a few weeks to a few months automatically.  There is nothing you can do to expedite the process.  If you did not mark the box on the DS-260, you can apply at your local SS office.....

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I marked the box on the DS260 for the ss card but it was not mailed to me. I was told that it's a 50 percent chance it's mailed to you when you mark the box. After 2 weeks I went to the ss office where I applied for a ss card.

I'm the same boat with you , after two weeks I went there and they took photo copy of my passport and asked me to wait for two weeks for them to confirmed my identity from the federal government or local government.

And if I didn't hear from them within two weeks I should give them back call with the reference number they gave to me .

I did mark the box that I needed a new ssn card ( my old one was from a previous stay under my maiden name)

nothing came so I just went to the office and took a chance- they did not know about anything being sent automatically

so I applied again and 5 days later I got my new ssn card!

my greencard btw is still not here tho 🙄

I have marked the check box in form Ds260 to apply for SSN but when i went the ss office they didn't ask me about that or check that on her system she automaticly told me to wait it when she know i am a green card

I feel that i am just wasting time and there is a few days and i will complete my third week and not receiving anything
