Hi guys!! I don't know if I'm in the right thread, but we got married 2 weeks ago, and planning of filing for AOS hopefully before the end of the month. I read a bunch of what I need and all, but I got one question. I don't have a SSN because we didn't request one when I got here (November 21). Did we wait too long? Because I know people usually got married pretty quickly and did everything soon after. I'm worried that my timelines are late for some reason. I'll try to gather everything soon. I'm so glad I found this!!! 😊

Mine was the same too. We got married the day after i arrived here then applied for SSN. We waited for more than a month only to know it’s pending verification in the DHS. If i only knew🤦‍♀️. Anyhow, we already sent our AOS packet yesterday and allowed USCIS to apply SSN for me.

Mine was delivered on Monday, February 11 too but I haven’t received any texts yet. I’m hoping I’ll receive their text notifications soon.

Our extended wait finally came to an end in the form of a Valentine’s gift from USCIS.  We FINALLY received the texts/emails last night at 11:23pm.  Ours were delivery-confirmed at the CLB on 1/25, and we only got notifications last night.

I will say, ironically, 2 days after I sent a USCIS-referred inquiry email to the CLB Support email account inquiring about our delivery.  That, after waiting a full 15 days. May be coincidental, or maybe what triggered the result.  I was a King Whiner until we finally received the texts, so I’m right there with ya!

You just received it later than ours. It might have taken longer because of the bad weather. But it's good to hear. Technically you belong to January filler but we're happy to have you here too. Congrats for finally hearing something from USCIS!

Hi Everyone,

I filed AOS on Feb 6th and got NOA dated Feb 8th. My local CIS is San Francisco but our I485 case and (other 131 and 756) is processed by NBC. Is any other people here who got NBC as the processing centre? Our biometrics is on 25th Feb.

As far as I know, all cases go to NBC first. Once checking for documents, biometrics and background check are done, they send it to the local field offices.

My appointment letter says NBC service center on I797 ASC Appointment Notice.

It should say NBC in the "Service Center" box. What address does it say under "Application Support Center" in the middle of the page?

The NBC is the National Benefits Center in Missouri, it’s one of the USCIS service centers that process the petition. And the address under the Application Support Center is the location where you need to go to do your biometrics.
