If anyone has ever used the Tracker app and searched to see statuses of cases (I search about 75 before mine and 25 after mine), there seems to be a ton....I mean...a TON of cases with a Last Update Feb 8, 2019 date.

What’d USCIS do with that box...literally throw’em out or something?!?!?!?!

So....nothing’s changed on the USCIS posted estimated timeframes, VaJayJay has “updated” my “Estimated” approval dates.  Hahaha!  Where do they get this from?!?!

Two weeks ago:

AP: May 24

EAD: May 29

Last week:

AP: July 29

EAD: July 30

Today:

AP: June 21

EAD: June 24

Even when nothing changes for the USCIS.  Bwahahaha!

From what I understand, VJ estimates are based on the information we input into our timelines.

I'm so anxious and scared. I know I'm very much in the right timeframe and I should not worry, but I keep being scared that maybe there's something wrong with our application and it'll be denied like it was for a guy on this forum. I just can't bear the thought of having to part with my husband and do long distance again.
I just wish I could know that everything is okay and they're simply processing our case.
I was in such chaos when we filed for AOS  that I didn't even manage to make photocopies of the whole package, so that doesn't help! Ugh.

I can understand your anxiousness, especially without having a copy of what you submitted to refer back to. When I looked through ours, which our attorney prepared, I have found a couple of questions that were left unanswered. I'm not nervous about it though, because they have accepted our package, no RFE (yet), and interview on Monday. My point is that even with a few mistakes, ours is still progressing to the interview, where I will be able to correct the mistakes.

In my opinion, not hearing anything might be a good sign that your package was OK, and is awaiting further processing.

We're on nearly the same AOS timeline. Hope you hear something soon. Stay strong, gather your evidence, and enjoy being married.

But it looks like it's going to be other way around... The thing is that we are just on holiday in another state so we have to fly back home for 1 day :D But hey, we are going forward.

Just realized another beauty of a result of this ridiculously slow process on top of (once my TN expires) while waiting for this gd forsaken EAD:

1) will need to self-terminate my employment on the day it expires - 90 days from today.

2) will no longer afford my rent, and will be forced to live...where?

3) will probably eventually get my car repoed because no income means no money for bills and notes.

4) and now...how could I forget, my Texas driver’s license expires on the day my current status expires, and I’m not allowed to renew it until I can show a valid status.

This just keeps getting worse and worse.

And some of you wonder why the constant venting of extreme frustrations??!!

90 days and counting until expiry...we hit 100 days on Saturday of pure NOTHING!

Life’s good, ain’t it?!

Friends who are preparing for their interviews:

I have a question about the I-693 form. I submitted my medical exam (sealed envelope) to the immigration officer at the airport when I entered the US. The medical exam itself was completed in October 2018 (less than a year ago). My DS-3025 vaccination worksheet marks everything as 'completed'. Do I have to go to a civil surgeon to get it transcribed? I noticed that on the notice, USCIS wrote: "unless already submitted" at the end of the sentence regarding I-693. What are your thoughts? How are you preparing for this?

Cheers,

Interview Experience

Our interview appointment was today at 12pm. We arrived around 11:30am. We presented our invitation to a friendly officer outside the door who then allowed us to proceed to security. There was no line. After being screened through security, we proceeded to the waiting room for interviews. The room was approximately 50% full. We presented our interview letter at the check in window and were asked to take a seat. About 10 till 12 our attorney showed up. It was a great relief to see her as the anxiety melted away. The we waited. Our attorney spoke to other attorneys in the waiting room and leaving the interview office area. She was told by another attorney that we were on the list for a particular IO who was running about one hour behind schedule. Our attorney knew this particular IO, and was certain of a positive outcome. At about 1:15, the IO appeared at the door and called my husbands name. She was very friendly and all smiles. She and our attorney chatted as we walked to her office. She swore us in and asked us to take a seat. She asked my husband for his visa and my DL. We had our passports, birth certificate, my SSC, etc but she didn’t ask for those. She put my husbands visa in her top desk drawer. She asked if we had any bonafides. I had a binder I had prepared, but my attorney has some of the evidence from  the binder, and handed a prepared packet with cover letter and TOC to the IO. The IO placed it in her folder without looking at anything. She then explained that she would quickly work through the applications. She had all of them, I130, I130a, I131, I485, I864, I693. As she worked through them, she would punch them and place them in her folder. She asked my husband where we met. That led to a discussion among her and our attorney about Tindr, and how some IO’s didn’t understand the current culture of meeting online with very little in person interaction, but that she (the IO) didn’t think anyone should be judged for how they met their loved on our their relationship. She went on to say that what she meant was where we first met in person. We named the restaurant. She was impressed when we said we met in person soon after Tindr, and dated for over four years. The IO stamped APPROVED on one application while checking off things with  red pen, followed by more stamps and writing. She didn’t really ask any investigative questions whatsoever. She and our attorney did most of the talking to each other. We were over prepared, as we were not asked any of the questions we were expecting, nor were we asked for originals of any documents or for additional evidence from our binder. IO said we should get the green card in a week or so. That was it. Super easy, very friendly people. Our attorney did ask if my husband could get the I551 stamp so that we could travel north from the border zone to San Antonio for Memorial Day, but the IO said they were no longer allowed to give the stamp. The attorney advised that we could travel anyway with the I797C, but that we would be pulled to secondary and held for about one hour while they figured out he was authorized to be in the US. We agreed it was not worth the hassle. Side note, While we waited for our interview, everyone who came out had big smiles, some were greeted by smiling loved ones, and even a few claps and cheers. Overall it pleasant experience.
