Coming from the KING of Wait Whining, my timeline is:

1/25 - sent

1/28 - recd

2/13 - NOA1 (!!!!)  yep - 16 days later!

2/15 - bio's scheduled

3/4 - bio's taken

I was just as frustrated with the 16 day wait.  So, I called USCIS on 2/12, and spoke to the first level support, who agreed that the initial 15-day period was long enough to wait, and forwarded me on to the Escalated level, where you speak with an Officer.  The Officer suggested I email the Lock Box Support account, which I did just moments later.  And the VERY next day - text messages and emails flowed acknowledging each of the 4 applications, and payments made.

Did my HUGE folder fall behind the heater and forget to be picked-up, or?

Hang in there!  I feel ya!

LOL I know right?! My folder was huge because of the 4 applications in it! There is no way it's misplaced AND I tracked it with the post office and it did arrive. Should I email the lock box support account like you did? What did you say in the email?😕

Hey there!

Never hurts to send the LockBox Support an email, but keep in mind, their auto response advises it may take up to 15-30 days for them to respond.  All things considered, I haven’t received an actual response from my inquiry that I sent, but I did get the NOAs the very next day after I sent the inquiry.  So...guess that was my “response”.

Within 1 day; nice.

What site are you using to check the updates.  It seems there are two sites, but neither of them are providing truly accurate and timely updates.

Good deal!  Nice to hear!

I use case tracker on my phone which is linked to old site. The status at the new site hasn't changed yet. My experience is old site give me faster status update than new site. My I-129f petition status changed three days earlier on old site than new site.

My phone is android so you can check google play for case tracker if you're interested to install it

Hi guys!! I don't know if I'm in the right thread, but we got married 2 weeks ago, and planning of filing for AOS hopefully before the end of the month. I read a bunch of what I need and all, but I got one question. I don't have a SSN because we didn't request one when I got here (November 21). Did we wait too long? Because I know people usually got married pretty quickly and did everything soon after. I'm worried that my timelines are late for some reason. I'll try to gather everything soon. I'm so glad I found this!!! 😊

In order to file your paperwork you DO NOT need a SSN. You can go apply for one but you should apply fairly quickly after your arrival because if your I94 expires they can not give you a SSN. SSN numbers are given to you once your I765 is granted and if you apply for it before hand and they give you one it says you are not able to work yet. Hope this helps.

You can take the copy of your NOA1 with you. Unless you already have State ID or DL, then you can use that together with your passport just in case you got stopped. I believe we can't ask for an extension because your visa will be expired in 90 days

You can try with the I-485 receipt notice and the following PDF: http://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/documents/verifyingLawfulPresence.pdf

Quote

This can include but is not limited to a form I-797 indicating pending I-485 or pending application for adjustment of status.

Good luck!
