Just an update:

 

interview: July 15

oath taking: July 31

 

to those who are done with the oath taking; how long was it? And what documents did you bring for the passport application?

I had my interview yesterday and I was approved!

 

Interview was at 8am but was called in at 9am. Interview only took around 30 minutes. The IO asked me the civics questions first before asking for my address and going through the application questions, updating any changes since I had applied. They asked for my state's capital, what is one responsibility of a citizen, who the head of the executive branch is, name one branch of government, when is the last day to file taxes and what do we show loyalty when reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. I got all six correct, so she didn't ask any more.

 

There was an oath ceremony in the afternoon, but since I was doing a name change, I would have to wait to be scheduled to one of the judicial ceremonies. Thanks to everyone who has provided information and good luck to all!

My wife had her interview today in Mt. Laurel, NJ.  Appointment was at 10:35, we arrived at 10:15 and her name was called within a few minutes.   She was done in a half hour and they had an oath ceremony at 2pm which we did.   She is now naturalized and we are DONE with USCIS!

Hi everyone! I got an interview on July 18. The officer was nice and approved my pending I-751 and my N-400. My oath day is September 20

Hello everyone. My interview was on July 15th, l passed, but he can't made a decision. The offical asking for more evidences about my marriage. ( they want the transcripts from IRS, we buy a house recently and he wants to see a recipt of mortgages, in addition l sent our medical insurance, home insurance, too. And 2 statements from our account. 

 

He gives a letter for send that evidences. When we finished, l went to my house and grabbed those documents and come back to the USCIS and l left them in the reception.

 

Two days later, they approve my application.

 

On July 23th they scheduled my oath ceremony and will be on August 21st.

My wife had her interview today. She passed but they have to wait to approve until they review her I-751. The officer stated it should take one or two weeks. So, we'll see.

UPDATE: had my oath ceremony on 7/12/2019 applied for the passport same day with expedited service. Received my U.S passport on 7/22/2019. Thanks to everyone for the help along the journey.

I went to a nearby court to apply for the passport as there is no passport agent in my ceremony. Yes, I had the application filled beforehand, a picture and 2 personal checks. One check for the court fee ($35) and the other for the passport fee ($170) and my naturalization certificate along with my driver's license.
