Just got notification that my Oath was scheduled... Will post back once I have the date.

I am not on the list. I applied online Feb 2nd, Biometrics were done Feb 26th and today recieved a litter in the mail with my interview scheduled for May 6th. I'm shocked I had been told 13-14 months

Yeah, rescheduling is not preferred, but if you don't mind potential delay, it's not big deal.

P.S: ceremony scheduled for 1.00pm (Detroit), judge showed up 2.15pm. I was lucky that my baby slept almost through all waiting time and ceremony.

What is the capital of the U.S.?

Name one state that borders Mexico.

What is one thing Benjamin Franklin famous for?

What's the name of the national anthem?

What major event happened on September 11,2001, in the United States?

We elect a U.S. Representative for how many years?

 

Sentence for reading was something like: "who elects Congress?"  and writing: "The people elect Congress."

I really don't want the delay but they were about 2wks late sending me the interview according to all the data I gathered on timing... ugh... I said 4mths ago when I booked my flights - you watch; my interview will be that week and it was. I sent email and letter Friday but haven't heard anything yet.

I finally got my rescheduled Oath Date. I will become a citizen on July 15th :) I am so glad that the horror stories weren't true for me.

Feb 16 2019: applied online

Feb 23 2019: biometrics scheduled (online notification)

Mar 15 2019: biometrics done

April 23 2019: Interview has been scheduled (online notice)

May 30 2019: Interview - approved!

July 15 2019: Oath Ceremony (rescheduled date)

Well, my interview was at 10am and the officer is really professional and friendly. He started with put me under oath and then explained the process. We started with civic test, which I completed 6 questions in 5 mins . Then, he gave me a sentence to read and write down the answer that he read (this part was perform on ipad). We end up with he went through my files and add informations that I have changed since I applied such as phone number  and yes no questions on files, ect.  From start to finish, It took me 15-20 mins max. 🤓
