Hi everyone! I’m new to this forum. Apologies if this is not the right thread to post this.

I am going to be eligible to apply for N-400 this April (4y9m). My GC was under EB-1 category. I’m applying from Grand Forks which falls under MN- St. Paul Office which is the slowest. N400 takes anywhere between 15 months to 25.5 months.

Thanks everyone for posting about the online process. I will apply online. Will I get biometrics appointment notice in my online account? I travel to Canada back and forth (fiancé lives there) and if it’s only mail that will be difficult for me. Also, after applying for N-400 and receiving the receipt, how many days is the wait for biometrics appointment? Has anyone walked in before the appointment? I live in Grand Forks. Fargo has an ASC where they do biometrics. Has anyone been to this office?

Thanks!

You will get the biometrics appt online, mine showed up around 3-4 days after sending my online application. They usually schedule the biometrics appt for 3 weeks later.

I always go on the appointment day, but I live 1 hour 30 mins drive from my local office, so I wouldn't want to take a day off from work, travel all that way to be turned away. However plenty of people have gone before their appt day/time.

Received online letter yesterday for biometrics on March 18th.

Also received notice that I-751 case was transferred yesterday. Was hoping it was being sent to link up with the N-400 but seems like a whole batch of I-751s were transferred. Hope that doesn't delay it getting to Detroit for the interview.
