After NOA2

We just got our NOA2 in the mail today thanks to everyone’s help! I have got some great information from a friend on what to do next. I just want to make sure we aren’t missing anything. Basically what all do we do now?

If I understand right my fiancée can get her Cenomar, start preparing things for interview, and also schedule her CFO. Then I wait a week from now to start calling NVC to get her MNL#. After that she can schedule her medical and interview. Also we can complete the DS-160 at that time, I do the Affidavit of Support, she gets her NBI clearance... What else are we missing? Thanks in advance!

Also make sure she has her PSA birth certificate.    You might want to wait 2 weeks before you start calling the NVC but it's up to you. Also make sure she knows as much as she can about you because she will get questions at the interview like, when do you'll meet?, how did you'll meet?, what do you'll have in common?, etc.., some people have posted how not being able to answer basic questions like that led to a denial.

What original copies if any would I need to mail her? To my understanding everything can be scanned and emailed to her for her to print out. No wet ink is required. Is this correct? @Greenbaum  @geowrian

Yes. Copy only for all your documents including the I-134.

Just one more thing... Can we do the I-134 and DS-160 now or do we need to wait on the MNL# or for her to schedule the interview... Also should I wait to send checkstubs closer to the interview date.

Read the information posted and those questions will be answered.  Sometimes you get to do some of the heavy lifting.

Some example questions would be:

 

-What is the name of your fiancé/e?

-Where did you meet?

-When did you meet?

-How did you meet?

-When are you planning to get married?

-What is your fiancé/es work?

-Have you gone out of the country?

-How long were you out of the country?

-How many times has your fiancé/e visited you?

-Where did you go when your fiancé/e visited you?

-Do you plan to have kids?

-Where do you plan on staying in the US?

-name and DOB

-what year did you meet

-How did you meet

-what are your fiancé parents' names

-your fiancé's employer and job

-have either of you been married before

-other countries you've been to

-do you have kids together

 

These are some of the questions but rest assure that all the questions will be about the petitioner, the beneficiary, and the relationship. Always tell the truth even if the truth is "I don't know". Don't rush in answering and give a straightforward answer. Look the CO in the eye when answering and smile. Don't give a novel as your answer. Just brief and concise. Don't volunteer any information unless asked, this could send you down the wrong road.
