The last thing  I want to is be judged on here.. I am asking for some help.. I have come back to the states about a year and half ago.. I worked ... then problems developed in my foot... been in pain for majority of the year . trying to push myself to work and only damaged the foot worse. I did not qualify for unemployment and am due for surgery next week .. I am on assistance through the government until i can go back to work. My dads agreed to co sponsor because i did not earn enough money this past year to sponsor my husband alone. I am concerned that because I am on assistance even with my dad co sponsoring that maybe he will not be approved for a green card.. My attorney says that as longs as your dads is sponsoring it should not be a problem because that i am a US citizen and so are our kids... Am I worrying about nothing?  Has anyone gone through this or not?  Any advice is welcomed... Thank you

there is nothing to worry about, like you lawyer said as long as your dad  co sponsoring you, you will be fine. don't stress about it.

when I looked at most cr1 and ir1 timelines they received their case numbers at least 7weeks after NVC received their package unless k1 visa. I'm not sure about receiving a case number next week for cases received early february. based on timelines on vj we should start expecting case numbers by march 15. I called NVC they told me 8weeks.

yeah you're correct.  They are working on cases received January 3 (ish) now.  I'm the 9th and still have nothing!  Seems to be about 6.5-8 weeks for most recently.

Do I also need to send my birth certificate to the NVC or just my husbands?

Just your husband’s. If you are using a sponsor you will also need their birth certificate or US passport.

I am having trouble with CEAC, after I have recieved an email from NVC notifying me that there is an update on the status of my immigration application. This is the error message I get ''You have encountered an application error. Please try again later. '' when I try to look at the documents that are not accepted. This is quite frustrating as I was hoping by now I would have CC. Is any one else experiencing this same problem?

Thank you will give NVC a call today. How were you able to resolve the technical issues you had with payment? Did you have to call NVC first before emailing CEAC? How quick do they respond to emails at CEAC? I sent an email this afternoon and I still have not got a response from them.

I called and email the department of state IT help desk because NVC kept playing with me....it took a week for them to respond to a service inquiry
