Jeet, You think my 2018 transcript should be good enough with $32k income? i am just little worried about Mumbai embassy to give hard time on my income? i dont have any joint sponsor..

If you don't have any other dependents other than your wife who will come here, than you should be fine because according to the poverty guidelines, for 2 people in household, you need above 20k that is if I am reading the chart correctly. If I am wrong, I ask my fellow petitioners on this site to correct me.

Hi JEET_S,

Can you please let me know what paperwork if any did your wife, have to show at the Passport Office in Mumbai when she had gotten the Police Cleaner Certificate?

Does the I-130 approval notice work if they ask for anything to show why the Police Cleaner Certificate is needed?

Also, how long did you take your wife to receive the certificate from the Passport Office?

That I am not too sure about how Mumbai operates. I would have your wife call and confirm what they need. My wife is in Punjab so the procedure may be different.

That is correct for NVC, but based on your Embassy they can determine that you do not meet the guidelines and request for a Co-Sponsor. Many factors go into meeting the poverty guideline at the Embassy. He just has to sell his current income to them with job letters and paystubs. He will be fine.

I hope i meet the income. I’m far behind you guys, just being proactive.. I’ve been visiting my husband every 3-4 months. My employer can write me a letter but proving my income on paystubs will reflect something different due to being out of the country soo much. Smh, how do they expect you to have bona fide marriage and still meet income at the same time if u have to visit frequently.

I also visit my husband every 3-4months. Just provide a job letter with your hourly and/ annual income.

Did you forget to include them? Congratulations with case complete!

I'm wondering how we need to upload them if there are a few W2’s from different employers - should all W2's 2017 be in one document or each uploaded separately?

I understood "recent tax year" as 2018, so I uploaded by 2018 W2s instead of my 2017.

I had 3 W2s, so I just uploaded all of them into one PDF, compressed it, and uploaded into the other supporting documentation section.

Everything else has been reviewed and accepted

Turns out I was able to upload the tax account transcripts because my submission had not been reviewed by NVC

I think they prefer that documents are uploaded seperately, I might be wrong, but this is the information I have got from others before I uploaded my documents.
