We have co-sponsor, but he's my husband cousin. They don't have the same surname as a proof as relationship but I told him to write a letter, do you think they will accept it

If he is not a household member he does not have to show relationship. I-864A Co-sponsor has to show relationship to the petitioner.

After two weeks and four days they finally looked at our documents. They rejected my husband's 2018 tax return. They accepted his 2017 and 2016 returns and all the W2s but for some reason have said we need the 2018 tax transcript and the return isn't good enough. So disappointing I don't understand why it would get rejected, we couldn't get the actual transcripts at the time because of the govt shutdown when we first submitted but if you can get transcripts I guess you should!

No one has 2018 transcripts. It is not available. We can only have 2018 tax return. What was the reason given for the rejection? What did they ask him to do to correct this problem?

They gave no reason, here's all it says:image.thumb.png.8e4b60caec47ece855bddb30fb779de7.png

I really hope they don't force us to wait until the transcript is available. I only did 2018 because we couldn't find his 2015 W2 and couldn't get transcripts. I tried to call NVC but so many people are calling they won't even put me on hold.

Ok, so you have to submit an explanation saying that a 2018 tax transcript is not available at this time. It’s worded crazy, because we don’t file tax transcripts...SMH They are getting very petty at NVC

Okay, it's asking for my joint sponsor's PROOF OF US DOMICILE.

Now, I would just give them a scanned photo of his driver's license....but they said they want all original documents at the interview.  And I'm not going to ask my Joint Sponsor to be without his driver's license for a couple weeks.

What can i do?

Okay thank you. Does it need to be signed and dated or anything? We already explained that transcripts weren't possible to obtain when uploading the returns instead but I supposed they might want something more official. Should he still include the signed tax return in the optional documents?

I e-filed my 2018 Tax Return last week and they emailed me a "Acknowledgement" document, confirming that they have received 2018 tax return.

So, I uploaded this to the CEAC portal.

The 2018 tax return has to go under tax return, not optional documents. The W2’s go under optional documents. Please follow her post. It is a big help.

He shouldn’t have to prove Domicile if his address on the I-864 is in the U.S. non-household members complete I-864.

Hi all,

Question, does anyone know if after you uploaded, submitted and everything has been accepted by NVC on ceac if you can still edit/add to the Affidavit of Support?

You will have to submit all corrections and add-ons to the Embassy now.

Can anyone log into the CEAC portal please? I was able to log in earlier when others were having problems but I've been trying for last 3 hours now and it keeps timing out.

Basically the lady at the interview told me to upload the divorce papers to ceac and upload the affidavit of support all in one file instead of several documents and once done email the embassy?

is that even possible to do?

thank you.
