Another applicant got an update today that her estimated completion time is 12 months, not 6. She applied this week, like me.

I think 11 - 12 months is probably more accurate per their current processing times (due to Covid-19 etc.)

I applied back in November 2019 and just had my interview & oath last month (A total processing time of about 12 months).

 

Traditionally N400 applications have a shorter processing time so hopefully the long wait times go away once Covid-19 is under control.

I concur, mine was also on May 17, the ETA is still saying December 2020 but I hardly believe it will happen on December. I haven't yet also done either biometrics or letter of reuse.

You applied back in May and haven't even been scheduled to do your biometrics?? Wow! That's a long time for a process that typically happens about 3 weeks after you first apply.

Covid-19 has really screwed everything up!

It is a letter that they sent you if they decide to use you old biometrics from previous time rather than take new ones.

Another question. I just filled my change of address to Austin, the confirmation said it will take 2 weeks. When you said follow up, did you call them/schedule appointment?

I filed on 1/7/2020 and received my notice of interview yesterday (12/3/2020.) The scheduled date is 1/15/2021. Hopefully this helps with anyone on a similar timescale.

I just got NOA for a biometrics in 3 days at portland office. However, I filled change of address before 10 days and I no longer live in Oregon, would be difficult now to fly to Oregon.  Would be it okay to just do the biometric at the the ASC closer to my place.  Anyone has success with similar to situation?

Just saw in my online account with USCIS that a biometric reuse notice was issued on December 22nd. Hopefully, it means that I get my interview scheduled at least, before summer.

Got notice of biometrics reuse on Dec 31 (finally). 

Original date of filing N400 (5-yr rule) : Nov 10

Current estimate for completion is Aug 2021 but I see that some folks in other cities (similar filing timeframe) have started receiving notices for interview calls....

In regard to your original filing date, is it November 2020 or November 2019? If it's 2020 you are quite lucky, I filed on May 5th and only received the biometrics reuse notice a week earlier than you.

Had my interview yesterday. On time and quick. Was in and out in around 25 minutes. No same-day ceremony though. Now I'm waiting for an oath ceremony date. The windows and doors at the Portland building are all boarded up due to concerns about next week.

They reverted to the old process again?

I had my interview in November and it was same day Oath.

I guess so. My case was recommended for approval and was approved an hour or so later according to the app. I was hoping for a same-day oath as it's a 6 hour round-trip to Portland from home.
