Wow that’s a long time... I was expecting something about 4 weeks... by the way, I still didn’t get anything.

Yeah I was expecting something in the 4 weeks range as well. I had to look a 2nd time to make sure it wasn't September 28.

I have a feeling they are quite backlogged. I think you will probably get yours scheduled perhaps by the end of this week or next week.

I filed at the end of February, and I am planning on moving to a different state next month. So I probably won't be getting my interview scheduled any time soon.

It is nice to see things are moving. I filled on May and got NOA on May 2020 but I haven't received biometric notice yet.  Has anyone who applied post Covid done any biometrics? Are the Portland office reusing older biometrics? I read in some other forums some states are using older biometrics on file.

You filed in May and didn't receive a biometrics letter? That's an awfully long time but with Covid changing everything, I can see why!

Typically the biometrics letter should get to you in a matter of days after your initial filing.

If they are reusing the older biometrics, that would explain it. Hopefully someone confirms.

Have you perchance checked in the USCIS account portal as well?

Oh they finally sent you your notice? That's awesome! Your interview will be roughly 12 days after mine!

Currently studying for the test as mine is just in 19 days! I will update this thread with updates of my interview when it happens.

On a related note, I checked my IRS account and saw a notification about a request for verification of tax filing in my account on 10/06 so I figured it was USCIS making that inquiry as I hadn't initiated it or applied for anything that would trigger such an inquiry. If it's truly the USCIS, it means they really do the background checks like they say would.

Yes, I often check the portal, but there is no change since I applied. It could be the Portland office are not doing biometerics since the pandemic.

So just a couple of weeks after I moved from OR to MA, I got a notice that my interview has been scheduled! I was genuinely surprised! Looks like the Boston office is a little more efficient than the Portland one?

Anyway, I wish everyone here the best of luck!

Nice! Wish you the best. I am also moving to Texas soon and I was not sure if my application will further delay because of change of address and was hesitated .  It is nice to see a positive scenario like yours.
