First of all, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you complete your DS-160 and request your police certificate.  Now that you have your case number, you can call Knightsbridge to schedule your medical exam.  You’ll need to give them your case number when you schedule your appointment.  When your NVC case status changes to “In-transit” you can go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to create an account and schedule an interview.  Make sure that you allow at least 5 working days between the date of your medical exam and the date of your interview or risk the results from the exam not arriving in time.  For your interview go here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/  or call here 442074867822

Specifically for Kyiv interests, how many days after your embassy visit did you wait before receiving the email saying your passport was ready for pickup? We are on day 6 but understood the wait to be 3-5 days.

Be careful of doing the medical to early as the medical has a life of 6 months.  Also your Visa validity is tied to the medical completion date. So if the embassy doesn't set your case to ready in 30 days and you can't schedule a interview for 2_3 months and it takes another month now you have burned through almost the entire validity period. So just be careful of your progress.  I'm just saying.
