USEM = United States Embassy - Manila. The OP is from the Philippines and their question centered around the travel time to the Embassy and I am assuming they also want to know what and when can they start the process in the Philippines. Hence, my answer.

I've been reading along on every page here in this thread and I remember on a number of occasions that Greenbaum and others advocated that it is fine to begin your DS-160 but it is best to wait till you have your case number. Also, I remember Greenbaum was helping others who where interview at the London embassy, just like you and he was able to share some valuable information where it answered these questions about starting medical. He also recommended that a good place to ask specific questions to your Embassy would be in your sub-forum. He said to go to the blue ribbon at the top of this page, select "Forums" and scroll down 3/4 of the page to find your regional sub-forum. It sounded to me like good information.

Ah that makes sense, my mistake.

Thanks for the 3rd person advice ;) Hahaha, I'll look into it.

:jest:Funny thing is I am here day in and day out answering the same questions over and over again. Some of those questions are asked by someone and I answer their question and on the very next entry, by someone else they will ask the same question I just answered. I sometime need to :girlwerewolf2xn:

Here is the information that I provide for London. The medical question can be answered in the P3 letter which is one of the links.

must be electronic file transfer. That is good.

Yes, was thinking same. I'm glad we saved that turnaround time, but now we are waiting for appointments to open up at the embassy. 😂 Will be June. At least we're inching forward...

Most files leave NVC every other week. Next shipment date is tomorrow April 2. Go to the first page, first post and look for the DHL hack and try using it on Wednesday or Thursday as well as watching your status on CEAC.

the day will come, it goes fast. in the overall scheme of things, time from noa2 to arrival at embassy is quick, even though it can feel like forever.

Finally got my email from the NVC. Hoping that means my case will be sent out tomorrow!

What email did you receive, if you don't mind me asking?

I´m tripping for it to be Tuesday already and our case hopefully will be shipped to the embassy 🤞

Email from NVC that gives me my case number. I have had my case number for a while now but I needed the email in order to go do our medical appointment.
