My case made it to the Sydney consulate today! I’m still in the US visiting my fiancé, but looks like I have a busy few months ahead - medical, interview and packing up my house! Aiming for an interview at the end of April - I believe Sydney only does K1 interviews once a month.

How wonderful! Ours is still at NVC, but will probably be sent next week. We're hoping for an end of April interview in Sydney, too!

my ready status ever changed. Signed for today at the embassy. we still have not gotten any emails or anything yet, so its still clear as mud. i would expect it to be ready "officially" any day now with the email.

her medical is next Monday and she said something about scheduling the interview mid April, but we have been able to schedule it since I first saw that it was Ready

Okay, well can you let us know when they send you the "we're ready" email? I'm just trying to get a gauge on how long it takes for it. I bet you get it really soon.

Just called and case was received! 3/11/19. NOA2 was 2/11/19. No case number yet, but some relief nonetheless.

Give them a business day. Try again tomorrow Wednesday. Hopefully, you'll be assigned a # and make the 19th shipment

Hi everyone,

I need help because im getting really concerned about our application, last February 6, 2019 my fiance received our NOA2, its more than 30 days and still he didnt receive any letter for our case number or anything from NVC, we followed the letter and sent them an email accdg to their letter 5 days ago and we haven't receive any response. What is going on? how long do we need to wait for our NVC letter or to hear anything from them?

Same for us, NOA2 of Feb 7, no updates of any kind. I haven't called, though, since it seems a colossal waste of time. 🤣 I'm just going to wait for the letter and for my beneficiary to be notified by the embassy. He can't travel here until June anyway, due to other obligations, so we're being chill about it for now. Hang in there!

@Greenbaum Does it matter if I used my WAC# on my DS-160 and my SYD# as my case ID on US travel docs? Do they need to be the same number or are they linked somehow? Sorry for the silly question - just didn't want to mess anything up because things have been smooth sailing so far!

Honestly I have no information on this step as it is way different then when I went through this process. I would pose the question for the other experts here https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/128-k-1-fiancee-visa-case-filing-and-progress-reports/. You'll get an answer shortly after creating the thread. I would like to hear the outcome so I will be looking for your thread or if you find an answer some other way please enlighten me. Thanks.

We aren't going through the Australian consulate but that's how we filled ours out. I believe the WAC# and case numbers are linked on the files so it shouldn't interfere. That message, imo, means more like make sure the numbers are right, no misspellings etc

The receipt number referenced is the DS160 application ID. Its what links this step to the submitted DS160.

In this section she's showing, it required our embassy case number. The way it links to the DS-160 is by putting the application confirmation number on the profile page.

I have he a tendency to agree with your logic. The WAC# is issued first then NVC issues the case numbers so it would naturally be linked. Then once the DS-160 confirmation page is created from the completion of the form then it's linked because the DS-160 will use the WAC# hence another way of tying back or linking the case.
