For any steps at this stage I have outlined them in the first posting of this thread.

Thanks. I have red that many times. Now I am just starting to understand and after reading other NOA2 to NVC posts helps a lot. I just wish that form that we filed in I-129f of them keeping us updated through text and emails actually worked. I only got my NOA1 notification via text. that is it. I thought in the beginning that they would update me on all the steps. Oh well... It is what it is.  If they would just update us via text they would not be getting all those calls. Maybe they like us calling them. Hahaha....

I totally agree that it would be a better process if updates could be provided but they are hitting the "high" points with emails, that being the NOA1, NOA2 & case number and then you have CEAC to check for case tracking. So technically they have been keeping you informed but not what you or others want. I guess the government only has two hands and with so many applying it's hard to determine who needs hand holding the most. JMHO.

I've started working on my Affidavit of Support, and have a question about the employment letter. I told the director what I need, and she said that HR won't issue such a letter directly to me, but they would send one to whomever it will be directed. I explained that there is nowhere they can send it but to me and I explained the reason. She was very excited for me and said she would speak with HR to see if they would make an exception. This is what she said in an email she sent me today "Please fill out a REQUEST FOR EMPLOYEE VERIFICATION form.  We need you to fill in the Name/Company and the address it will go to even though we know your circumstance, we are still working through that piece, but want to start he request process."

I'm not sure how I can comply with this request. To whom should they address it?  I've looked this up and all the advice I can find is to address it "to whom it may concern". Our beaurocratic HR department won't accept this. Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks in advance!

The wait this time is nothing like the first part ( although I'm not sure I'll last 25-30 days without phoning at least once to check lol) so I'm just reading up on here and preparing what documents I can ahead of time so when it does come through from the embassy I'm a few steps ahead.🧐

After explaining what I need to my HR, I was able to get something that specifically says "For Immigration Purposes" on it.. If you are replying to your HR, I would just try and make sure you let them know it's for immigration reasons.  I am guessing they will have some sort of protocol for this.  If they are saying you must provide a name of a company and address, I would go with the Consulate General in Sydney in the address field but ask that they give it directly to you and not send it to Sydney themselves.

Hope this helps!!

Thank you, @MaryDave1992 it does help! HR knows it's for immigration purposes, and they are trying to find a way to circumvent their own rules to be able to hand the letter directly to me. It's amusingly sad that they even have to ponder this. We're a wonderful organization that serves people with disabilities. We have alternative ways to do everything and yet, this letter has completely thrown them! 😂 I think they'll be happy with the suggestion you've made.

This may not work depending on the company, but I typed out my own Employment Verification letter and am having my boss sign it lol We have one lady in HR and she's usually lost half the time lol so I thought this would be easier.

Agreeed! It skips the bureaucratic process some companies like to employ.

Do we really need a letter from employer? Would my Tax form, W2, bank statement,  last 4 recent pay checks (2 months) and a letter of promotion that was given to me in January be enough?

Look if your income is higher then the average bear then you could get by with all that other evidence. Usually when they read the I-134 and you stated income is far above the average for your poverty level then they just move on from their. But if you are at or a little above they want to see proof with a letter. See what they say in the P3 for your embassy and follow it.

I would happily write the letter myself, but our HR department has its rules, and they are, apparently, hard and fast. I feel like my request has flustered them!  I'm happy that they are trying to find a way to do it for me. 😆 I think they'll work it out with the information I will provide.

They ask for a letter, they're getting a letter - even though I have to jump through beaurocratic hoops (and cause HR to jump through them, too)!
