Visa issued!!! I am a school teacher and In my opinion this went very well for us with no problems!! Time frame was 8 months start to finish, and I used an attorney that took care of everything.. Rough costs were approximately $3000 inclusive. Also, I never saw a packet 3 or 4!! Good luck everyone!!

That's very affordable! The cheapest lawyer I found was 6k+ inclusive. I ended up going with Rapid Visa which was 3k+ including AOS, but looking back I would have just done it myself lol

Congrats on the Visa! May the rest of your journey be smooth :)

Is there a little Menehune that will jump into your reply and change the words so they are misspelled? My last post is riddled with spelling errors. :jest:

Had I not had language and translation issues, I would have done this process on my own. $1500 for an attorney was well worth it!!!

Please, we read it wrong on I-129F.
on 4.a. Have you ever been arrested, cited, charged, indicted, convicted, fined, or imprisoned for breaking or violating any law or ordinance in any country, excluding traffic violations (unless a traffic violation was alcohol or drug related or involved a fine of $500 or more)?
My Fiance had a DUI but he checked NO, because the fine wasn't more than $500 and he was misunderstanded the question.

My interview will be soon, and I just read someone said they got deny because didn't check YES for minor arrested as well on 4.a.

Can anyone help us? If the interviewer ask about it what should I do?

It may not be an issue because your application was approved by USCIS and sent on for interview. Go to the interview and IF ASKED then give your version of the FACTS of the case. If the petitioner can send you the court documents it may ease the pain if any. ALWAYS tell the truth. You are NOT required to volunteer any information and IF you do your case could travel down a road you don't want to travel.

Always tell the truth at the interview.

Thanks, Should I ask my fiance write a statement letter about he misunderstood the question and the answer is YES? Should I tell them about it before the interview start?

I read someone from VJ also checked NO on I-129F and in the interview never asked about it, they was told the case was approved and passport was collected as well.

But later got denial due to petitioner didn't disclose  it was a 30 year old misdemeanor arrest that was dropped and later expunged. 221(g) stating that we were denied because "the petitioner failed to disclose information in the petition".

I have lose all my confidence and faith...and thinking so negative...Really not sure what to do now...

You have a lot of help in this question that you asked here:

It's time for you to make a decision to what you personally need to do for you guys. The answers are the same "do nothing" or "correct either now or at the interview". Reread John & Rose's input and if you have questions then PM them directly. John's has experience and a very level head. He'll share with you his experience and what documents are needed. You should be prepared for a delay.

To correct a mistake. Include all court documents.

Will this be enough for the interview? without the 1040EZ and W2?

It should be fine. They prefer the transcripts to the 1040. I included three years and an employment letter.and was fine.

This is what is required by most embassy interviews.  If you have these items you'll not have a problem.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form (https://www.uscis.gov/i-134) K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript Use this link to determine the income levels needed https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

I think at one time i gave you advance links to what is needed for your interview by way of a P3. All requirements are listed there. Let me know if i haven't and I'll supply it again.

You should be asking questions in your country's subforum where other's can answer your questions directly related to your embassy.

I read this as that your petition cannot be extended beyond the 12 months validity. But it is confusing as it could also say not beyond the 4 month mark.

I think that I would send another inquiry, include your original and their reply and try and get them to commit to the one period extension of 4 months beyond the initial 4 months. I think you will need to spell it out to them so they understand the question your asking and I would make it in the simplest terms so they understand. You don't need to include your wife's condition because you already did that in the original email to them. Just stick to your question and be sure you identify that you want a 4 month extension to the NOA2 and NOT an extension beyond 1 year as I think that is where the disconnect is. Let me know the outcome of this next email.
