After having my interview on Thursday, I’ve just checked the status of my application and my visa was issued yesterday. I can’t believe how quickly it’s all happened.

I am so happy and excited right now! 😄😄

Put a date that you feel you became a couple. It's not an important detail so you won't get denied.

Neil entered the country yesterday and we applied for his Social Security Number today. The person we spoke with was familiar with the K1 Visa, and she put our application through quickly and was quite friendly. He needed only his passport, with the K1 Visa and his I-94, which he obtained by going to  https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/recent-results  and clicking "Get Most Recent I-94. That was it!  His card will arrive in about two weeks!

Hey! I've been waiting for two months for my ssn and every time I call they say that the DHS is taking a long time. When I first applied right after I arrived, they said it would take two weeks, but here we are, two months later and nothing. I'm concerned my i94 will expire before getting the ssn

Any ideas of what to do?

Yeah, that's what I've been doing, calling them every week. All they say is that the department of homeland security is taking a long time...

Then there is not much more that I know of.

I agree with @Greenbaum about being in touch with the office you applied at. I hope our two weeks doesn't turn into more than two months, but if it does we will keep calling. Good luck with yours and please, keep up posted on it.
