Hello everyone! Just wanted to twll you the good news

Embassy Interview  approved!! :) :)

The questions were:

- how long have we been dating?

- how we met?

- when and where we met?

- what I was doing in US when we met?

- when I came back from US the last time?

- what he does for living?

- what would I do for living?

- where I will live?

- how and when we got engaged?

- when we will get marry

For the last two questions I didn’t have a formal answer since no one proposed in my case, we just discussed the fact that we both wanted to get marry. And then we don’t have a wedding date because we wanted to be done with this process first. I answered with the truth and made sure to the consul we are getting married just is not going to be the traditional way.

The interview was in english. It was maybe 10 minutes long and then told me the visa was approved and that I should be receiving through dhl the closed envelope and passport.

I was in the embassy just for an hour max.

Thank you for helping through the process! This forum has been really helpful! Cheers!

Anyone else having trouble checking status on ceac website.. been trying all day with no luck

After your case has moved to the non-immigrant unit (and you've already had your interview, so I think this is very possible), the CEAC site often times out when trying to look up the non-immigrant case from the immigrant case.

A workaround is to look up your case under non-immigrant using the number that starts with A from your DS-160 (not sure where it is on the form). This is much faster.

I put the AA number.

Do you know why it would go to application ready after my interview?

It's one of the parking spots for your file while the adjudicator works on it. You will go in and out of different status.

Just about everyone goes through this process.  Based on the discussions I had with the case officer he informed me of the steps to complete the processing of your visa:

the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery.

Then "issue" is posted and the visa has left the BIG house to YOUR house.

Once you get that second ready, it should be sent out within a few days, although we received our visa before any of the various websites that allow you to look up the status said that it had been sent out. Your mileage can vary.
