Hello friends. So this morning I went with Kate and took care of her SS application. Right after we went to get the marriage license. There was zero issues regarding her lack of SS number. 👍🏻

So, what's the next status that i should expect on CEAC? It still says READY for me, but it was updated today and my case number has " 01 LND " added on the end of it now. Should I expect it to change to Administrative Processing or Issued?

Million $$$$ question. Are you in "immigrant" status or "non-immigrant". That will tell us more.

And here is why:

When the Embassy is ready to issue a visa, it will change to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application"; at that time, you will know that you are a few days away from getting the visa. It will go from "Immigrant Visa Application" to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application" status and then your visa changes to "Ready" ==> "Administrative Processing" ==>> "Issued" status as well. These steps sometimes transpire over a day or even a few days. Some smaller Embassy's it happens within hours.

Sometimes, it might skip "Administrative Processing" and go from "Ready" to "Issued".

Don't be so sure. You don't have the visa in your hands, and you have not checked it over for errors. Just saying.

The case numbers are assigned to the beneficiary and their case number will normally end in a 01. If you had a child(ren) they would be mom's case number filed by 02 and 03 etc depending on how many K2's you have.

Neil entered the country yesterday and we applied for his Social Security Number today. The person we spoke with was familiar with the K1 Visa, and she put our application through quickly and was quite friendly. He needed only his passport, with the K1 Visa and his I-94, which he obtained by going to  https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/recent-results  and clicking "Get Most Recent I-94. That was it!  His card will arrive in about two weeks!
