Me and my husband got married within the 90 day mark and are getting ready to file the AOS, she is living with us and is recieveing SSI, on the USCIS website is says:

  • Please note that Medicare, Social Security Retirement (SSA) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) are not considered means-tested benefits. However, Supplemental Social Security Income (SSI) is considered a means-tested benefit.

My husband did claim her has a dependant in his last years taxes, but with him filing taxes as married for the first time, he will not be claiming her this year.

What (if any) effect will her recieving the benefits have on the ongoing immigration journey?
