Hi, all

I was wondering since I have over $20,000 in my US bank account to show US domicile if that would be sufficient along with my 3 year tax returns transcripts for my spouse and stepson?

Th amount of money in your bank account has nothing to do with US domicile.

Having an active US bank account at all and seeking US-based employment are evidences of intent to establish US domicile. Nobody knows if that is sufficient, but typically London isn't particularly strict on this piece.

For the I-864s, assets need to be at least 3x the required income level to qualify as a sponsor for your situation.

Hi all

I will be using a joint sponsor in the USA who's income is above the required threshold for my spouse and stepson who's 11 years old along with my last 3 years filed tax returns.      The I-864s along with 3 years tax return transcripts should I make 4 sets of copies or just 2?

Option A: ( 2 sets of copies) 1 of myself and 1 of co-sponsor for my spouse,   (2 sets of copies) 1 of myself and 1 of my co-sponsor for my stepson?

or Option B (2 sets of copies) 1 of myself and 1 of my co-sponsor for my spouse and stepson?

Hi all

Please disregard my previous post on March 14th, as I mentioned in prior post i'm a lil clueless😅 about the whole immigration process. you guys have really helped me to have a better insight how it all works and I got to say thanks, I appreciate it a lot!

I'm about to be the I-864 preparer for the co-sponsor of my petition for my spouse and stepson, I have a couple questions hopefully you all can help me out again☺️. my co-sponsor filed his last 3 years tax returns jointly with his spouse, can i complete the I-864 on his behalf without including any information about his spouse? because his income alone meets the required I-864 threshold for filing as a sponsor.

also in part 6 number 24a-24c, should I populate these boxes with the total gross combined income as stated on the 1040 tax returns of both or only his income?

The spouse of the sponsor file the I864A.  If the form is asking for household income then that is the total of both.  Probably from the tax returns.

Quick question, did you file an I-130 for your wife AND your stepson?

I am still not clear if you also filed for your step son.

If he wants to immigrate, yes. You are under US Immigration laws allowed to petition for a step child.

Yes

Assume the father is OK with the move.

Presumably she has a Court Order that shows all this and allows her to determine matters.
