I have a read a lot on here and i seen where a lot of people said that you can use your spouses income to meet the income guidelines. I went and talked to an immigration officer yesterday and we asked that and she told us that we could not use his income since he is the one being sponsored. Or is immigration trying to give us the run around? Im bout to lose my mind over all this. All we need is joint sponsor i have none. It looks like it wouldnt matter how much money you make its not right 2 people to be torn apart because of that. We still have some time to find someone to help us so we are not giving up. Hopefully it will all work out....

The immigration officer you spoke to is correct. The sponsor/co-sponsor MUST be a US citizen.

Don't give up on a cosponsor - they are not hard to find - you have a large circle to find one in - Your family, friends, co-workers, church group, golf buddies etc. etc. Explain to them that even though they may be responsible for your wife becoming a public charge (officially) that's not likely to happen etc. and you should be able to convince someone fairly easily I hope.
