My friend did the k1 and  the approval expires on febuary 28 and her fiance interview is March 20th after the approval expiration date she did not get it extended would that be a problem.

She should email her consulate / embassy to get it extended or at least to notify them. It prob won't give her trouble but better safe then sorry

Generally the embassy will automatically extend the NOA2.
