Hi,

Can anyone share their experience bringing young children to the consulate in Toronto? We have an appointment for the CRBA for our child on Monday and the email I received says:

"No food or beverage is allowed (except for small amounts for babies and children)." They also state no backpacks are allowed either. Apparently strollers are allowed on a case-by-case basis (whatever that means).

Can anyone with experience tell me if they allow parents to have a small bag with diapers and a change of clothes?

Oh, you also can't have the keyless remote for your car?? If your car operates by a push-start ignition, where exactly are you supposed to keep that key?

Thanks for sharing any experiences!

consulates have a security section for your keys and phones.  You can take a small amount of items in a plastic or see through bag.

For anyone that finds this, a stroller is okay to bring in and you can bring a very small bag, but it has to fit inside of this little box they have.

Has to be really thin and small - the consulate says 12 x 10 x 6. Someone with a laptop sized bag was turned away.
